A MAN OF BETRAYED JUSTICE

My dad and I had joked about how the halftime feature seemed to come before a breakout 2nd half by Ginobli in the first game and Bowen in the second.

We were both hoping it would hold true for Rip, and look how he went on to dominate in that 2nd half (after being so ineffective in game 1-2).

Anyone else notice this strange coincidence?

During each of the halftimes, they had one of those touchy-feely tough upbringings or family stories... Ginobli, Bowen, Rip in that order (halftime during Game 1, 2, 3).

Ginobli and Bowen were difference makers in their games and were relatively quiet in the first half before the features.

Rip was solid in the first half but took over in the 2nd half of Game 3 after his feature at halftime.

Here's to hoping Rasheed gets a feature on him next game. I'm not a fan of the person Sheed is, but I really want to see what he's capable of if he would shoot 20-25 footers against Duncan all day. He very rarely misses from that range even with TD on him, and I think he could dominate the game if he were more selfish on offense.

They must have heard of the theory that I had posted here, b/c they went and did a special (during Game 4's halftime) on some obscure player I've never seen on the court for Detroit. So much for the streak.

However, it probably wouldn't have worked anyway b/c the first three games it was close at halftime and the featured player made the difference in the 2nd half.

That was a great game last night. Horry's clutch 3-point shots made up for Duncan's impression of Shaq at the free throw line. And 'boring' Timmy showed some real emotion after making a bucket after getting his shot blocked, I think the score was 77-76 after he scored. And although they showed the replay, neither announcer commented on Duncan's reaction. Maybe if he made a rap album or committed some crimes he'd be more marketable to the general public. :(

Big difference for San Antonio compared to games 3 and 4 was their taking care of the ball.

Duncan can't come through when it counts. I saw the last couple seconds of regulation and he blew that put back. He's lucky he had Luck Shot Bob on his team to bail his ass out. Did they even look at him in overtime?
