OSU had the ball 1st and 10 twenty-two times against NC St. Here is how we did -

Add it all up and it comes to a net of 19 yards, or .86 yards per play on first down. That is

I almost titled this thread "Is JT Insane?" based on the old adage - "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

The Ross TD, arguably his best run of the day, was the only time he ran behind the FB. The FB did not touch the ball today. The FB has not touched the ball this season.

If i recall ,we won this game.lol
Yeah, against an unranked opponent, that gave us five turnovers, and shot themselves in the foot with penalties.

Oh8 is right. Something has to give. Maybe the inaccuracy of Zwick forced JT's hand a little bit, with the constant run calling. If that's the case, then maybe he should've at least switched things up, by playing different backs.

I, too, am on the 'Start Pittman now' bandwagon.

Yikes!

16/22 Run on 1st and 10. Rather predictable.

2 Incomplete to Hamby.
4 Zwick stats indicate he tried to throw and had to eat it or tried to run. I don't recall any of Zwick's were "designed" runs.

Of the 16 runs, Ross's TD run was, by far, the best run of the day. The pile actually moved forward and Ross was surpurlative in his 2-handed double (even triple) effort. It was one of his best runs as a buckeye.

Of the 15 remaining runs, 2 or 3 were okay.
The rest were plain awful.

0.86 Yards/first down. That's GOTTA improve. No wonder why we went 2/16 on third downs. I bet our average 3rd down was 8 yards!
