Fishing (Official Thread)

All I can say is that after filet, we had several pounds of it. We’ve already grilled it all, was fantastic.

oh yeah, very good eating fish.
really clean white meat.

some people even use it as an artificial crab meat to use for stuffing.

but goddamn them things are tough and bony as hell.
a real bitch to clean, so if i have other options, i ain’t keeping them.

about some ugly fuckers too.

The river has been roaring and too high for me to wade or fish my spot. So I went to check the water height, still too high but they are catching fish yet on the river.
The good news is I took the wife for a drive out further along the river and got to see the first wild cock bird I've seen in prob 15-20 years. ANNNd for a first we saw a wild turkey fly.

Walleye Very Tasty. I like it more than Lake Erie perch, even though it's really really close. But if you should run across one, EAT IT!
