Jordan Battle (DB Alabama)

-ignorance about basic geography
-righteous indignation about bagmen (one of my favorites https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_University_of_Miami_athletics_scandal)
-massive insecurity and inferiority complex about recognizing that other schools are good at football and/or recruiting
-paranoia about other fans infiltrating their board

My favorite is the idea that Ohio State was treating Battle “badly” as they slow played him to go after some recruit I’ve never even heard of OSU pursuing (Cross?).

We should definitely revisit when Tyrique Stevenson commits to Georgia.

This, to all of the above.

Nick Cross, the 4* safety from MD. The good guys picked up several CBs early on, but soon started trending to FSU and has been ever since.

The other funny part is that they keep bringing up that OSU somehow wronged Torrance Gibson. When it's been stated multiple times that Urban didn't want to see Gibson leave the program. Their fan base makes it seem like only Miami kids can be successful if they attend Miami yet there are dozens of examples of SoFLa kids going elsewhere and finding success in the NFL(just from OSU: Hyde, Bosa, Holmes, Gamble, Heurman, Rolle, just to name a few)

It is funny how they keep mentioning that OSU treated him like sloppy 2nds only after other options fell through. And then mention 2 or 3 other DB's that they have higher on their board that they would rather have so it isn't a big loss.... basically doing the same thing.

It's called crootin. And you don't go after 1 or 2 guys @ a position. You offer a bunch, gage interest, and go hard after the guys that have high interest that you have at the top of your wish list.

And they act like he was a plan C guy for OSU. Battle has been on OSU's radar, and OSU has been at or near the top of Battle's list for 2 solid years. Cryami fans. So out of touch with reality. One good season (that came crumbling down at the end) and they think da U is back.....lol

Word is our visit put us in a good position with battle and his family...they've loved everything about Miami during their visit and osu boards doesn't feel as confident as before..
Obviously, Canes fans don't read BuckeyePlanet:
Update 06/10/2018: And we are about to reach the moment of truth: Jordan Battle will make an official visit to Ohio State on June 22nd. Unless Battle commits a major faux pas during his visit (felony arrest, drunken stupor, wearing Michigan gear), then he will return to Florida a Buckeye. There are very few sure things in recruiting, but Battle to Ohio State is one of them.

As far as the Nick Cross nonsense goes, Ohio State never chased him. It was more like Cross chased Ohio State but the Buckeye staff wasn't interested:
Safety Nick Cross made a two-day unofficial visit to Ohio State at the beginning of April, and the Buckeye crystal balls immediately began to roll in. Since that time, however, Ohio State has accepted commitments from Ronnie Hickman, Steele Chambers, and Bryson Shaw, each of whom could wind up at safety for the Buckeyes. And of course the staff will continue to chase 5-star safety prospect Daxton Hill until the bitter end. So where does this leave Nick Cross? Cloudy.... Update 06/10/2018: The relationship between Cross and Ohio State is all but over, as the Buckeyes have already secured three potential safeties (Bryson Shaw, Ronnie Hickman, and Steele Chambers) and they lead for Jordan Battle. Currently, Cross is heavily crystal balled to Florida State (77%). Time to cross Nick off of our list.

They should strive to get more than 6,000 fans to a televised game before discussing the merits of the program’s selective ability with respect to upper-tier prospects.

You’re literally just selling players on weather/city life and a brand that popular before these kids were born.

What are we even talking about here? That isn’t a fan base; sorry.

Sorry for the lang

"It’s not game when you spit facts about the U.
Not game when you come down and smell what’s cookin. %#!*&! Ohio’s Taint!!

The Franchise is quite a piece of work, even by 'Cane "fan" standards.
The last 15 years smells like they've been cooking chit'lins in toilet water.

It never gets old hearing them cry and complain about Ohio State while they're an afterthought to anyone north of Broward County.

Jim Patrick Tressel took his mid western, sweater vest wearing, milk and cookies self down to the land of south beach swag and broke those imbeciles like imbeciles have never been broken before.

It's been 16 years and they are still like Ralphie's old man with the shattered remains of their once major program.

Pro tip Canes fans; Tressel did use all the glue on purpose.
