All the talk will be about Kaytron Allen because he's the starter and a senior heading to the Pedsters. But tbh, this kid was the best player on the offensive side for IMG. The moves he has, and his vision are insane! I have a vid of his TD from 20+yds out that is a thing of beauty. He also had a pair of runs where I thought that multiple defenders would have broken ankles


Does anyone know how I can upload vids from my phone to threads?

There is going to be serious competition for the current No. 1 running back in the 2024 class, and Oklahoma will be right there until the end since Gage is originally from that state. He said it’s his dream school, but Ohio State made a massive impression during a recent visit. Gage was told he’s the “exact back” Ohio State needs and his interactions with coach Ryan Day and position coach Tony Alford were huge.

My favorite RB in HS right now. Kid can move, and has great vision at finding his blockers. His stats won’t wow, because he shared a backfield with the 4 star who headed to PED St.

The 2021 IMG offense flashed in many areas, especially in the running game with Stacy Gage. Now expected to take the lead role in the backfield, the breakout campaign led to droves of offers new to his name. Among them, extensions from Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma command his attention and are likely visit destinations moving forward. Gage says he models his game after former Buckeye Ezekiel Elliot and considers OU one of his dream schools having been born in the region with family still active there. Texas A&M recently offered, too, and Gage noted Jimbo Fisher's energy and relatability as positives towards the defending recruiting champions.

Yeah, Gage (https://247sports.com/player/stacy-gage-46111515/) is rated higher than Allen (https://247sports.com/Player/Kaytron-Allen-46079018/) on 24/7. Gage does have one Crystal Ball to Okie though.

Yes, but that CB is from an OU insider almost a month ago, and its more to the fact because Gage is originally from OK. So take that with a grain of salt. I expect Alford to be all over this recruitment. Especially if he doesn't land the 2nd RB that he really wants in '23(i.e. Young or Haynes).

Stacy Gage consulted fellow Florida native and top running back recruit Richard Young before going through his private workout with Tony Alford at Ohio State camp last week.

The IMG Academy product and No. 2 running back in the class of 2024 was hoping to get a feel for what it would be like to receive detailed instruction from the Buckeye coaching staff on the field at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.

“He said, ‘It’s gonna be brutal.’ I believed him,” Gage said.

The workout didn’t fail to live up to those expectations. Gage, the No. 37 overall prospect in the cycle, got a proper taste for what life might be like as a scarlet and gray running back under Alford’s tutelage. But given Gage’s status as a high-priority recruit for the Buckeyes, it’s no surprise that he already has years of history with the Ohio State running backs coach.

“It felt great. Just being coached by one of my coaches that’s been talking to me since my eighth-grade summer, so just putting that work in made me feel good, feel like a Buckeye again. … Me and Coach Alford talk almost every week,” Gage said. “He tells me I fit great into the program, I’d be a good Buckeye running back. He says I fit the program and I could be a Buckeye.”

With the Buckeyes producing 228 yards per game on the ground, Gage has noticed the rotation of backs used at Ohio State.

“What ain’t going on at Ohio State,” Gage exclaimed. “Their running backs are toting. They runnin’ that thing, from the first string through the third string. That will be a good visit.”

Has been my favorite ‘24 RB, can’t wait for the visit. The rotation will only help OSU
