Michigan has been the team to beat for some time, but he hasn't made it up for a visit in over 18 months. 5 planned trips have not gone through. I think Michigan is in a good position, but only if they can get him on campus. At this point, it may have to wait until an official. Looks like FSU and UF are pushing hard for this kid.

Hart does NOT have an OSU offer...

He likes Auburn and Florida, but don't read that wrong: Dee Hart is still wide open
By Chris Hays | 4:47 a.m. EST, March 10, 2010

Several Web reports this week have Dr. Phillips' talented running back Dee Hart narrowing his college choices to Auburn and Florida.

But while Auburn and Florida may be at the top of his list, the schools also happen to be some of the only places he's visited so far, and Hart's list will likely change numerous times before he makes his decision.

Hart, who had just over 800 yards rushing in nine games last season, has numerous offers, including those mentioned abov,e as well as Florida State, Miami, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Ohio State, just to name a few.

Dee Hart Commits To Michigan Over Alabama

by Sean Yuille ? Oct 8, 2010

Orlando running back Dee Hart announced tonight that he has committed to Michigan. The class of 2011 back picked the Wolverines over Alabama after previously eliminating Auburn and Arkansas.

Hart is a four-star recruit on Rivals, Scout and ESPN. Rivals ranks him as the No. 1 all-purpose back in the nation and the 37th best player overall. Scout has him as the ninth-best running back in the country.

Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips running back Demetrius Hart committed to Michigan over Alabama and Auburn in October. Now there are rumors that the nation's No. 17 ranked prospect may be having second thoughts.

TheWolverine.com has learned that several individuals close to Hart are saying the 5-8, 190-pound back plans to rescind is pledge from Michigan and will make a verbal commitment to Alabama on Friday. Hart himself has been unavailable for comment.

Hart was Michigan's highest ranked recruit in the 2011 class. He took his official visit to Michigan for the Wolverines' home game against UConn in September and followed that trip with visits to Alabama and Auburn before committing to the Wolverines following a home game on Oct. 8.

Michigan does have a commitment from Grand Blanc (Mich.) running back Justice Hayes, the nation's No. 84 ranked prospect and the No. 3 all-purpose back.

Guess that's what happens when you lose 5 of your last 7 games.

probably didn't help. I've also read where some say he's pissed off that UM took Justice Hayes as well. They say he wanted to be the only RB. It's definitely turmoil right now. Brandon keeping quiet on any decisions is not helping the recruiting process I would say.

The Prospector: Dee Hart a Florida Gator? Imagine, but he has not decommitted Michigan, yet

Alabama is out and Florida is in if Michigan fires Rich Rodriguez
Chris Hays The Prospector

1:13 a.m. EST, December 7, 2010

Time to clear up a much speculated-upon subject. Dee Hart has not decommitted Michigan. Yet.

He may never. Then again, he might two or three more times before Feb. 2, National Signing Day.

Who knows?

I don't.

Neither does Dee, for that matter.

We do know that it is not likely to happen until January.

And if he does, it will be because the Wolverines have fired Rich Rodriguez.

If it does happen, Gainesville residents can plant welcome signs for Hart up and down I-75.

But first things first. Dee Hart wants to play in the spread offense. He wants to play at Michigan under the coaching staff that recruited him.

TomVH: Dee Hart Update | mgoblog

Chris Hays from the Orlando Sentinel posted this article after talking to Demetrius Hart. The article says that Demetrius plans on staying committed to Michigan as long as Rich Rodriguez is the head coach. The shocker is this. If Rich Rodriguez is fired, Demetrius says he will end up at Florida, not Alabama.

I spoke with Chris about the article, and he felt that Demetrius was being genuine. He, along with everyone else, isn't sure what Demetrius will do but said Demetrius told him he will stay if Rich Rodriguez does too. He told Chris Hays tonight that Alabama is out, and it's all about the spread offense for him. Demetrius is also no longer enrolling early, according to Chris and the article.
