2021 FL (WI) OT JC Latham (Alabama Verbal)

Let's just let this play out.... they do not have a QB like Fields, our 2020 kids, or our 2021 kid.

It's my opinion that Alabama loses a few with the QB they have for 2020. Alabama is vulnerable which is why I think if we get him on campus we will flip him.

Depth is the issue? He'll play big time both places and start sophomore year.

Want to win or want to be on the JoePA route Into irrelevance? Because that's were Alabama is happily headed until Dabo goes there.

Which will make Alabama irrelevant .... which I can't wait for.

Ohio State's track record with OTs is unimpressive at best.

We haven’t really nailed offensive line recruiting though, especially at the tackle position. Munford will get drafted and have a nice career in the NFL. Taylor Decker is doing well for himself. Jamarco’s career is starting off a little slow. But those three guys weren’t 5-star, “can’t miss” recruits.

The best referendum on OT recruiting and development for us right now is NPF. Right now, you’d have to label him a bit of a bust unless he breaks out this year. Granted, he’s been behind some older guys but talent breaks through. He hasn’t yet.

Conversely, you have a guy like Dawand Jones, who was unheralded out of HS, who may end up passing a more veteran NPF on the depth chart. And he could turn out to be an AA, 1-round pick, much like Becton from
Louisville last year.

Give Alabama credit. They sold their track record. We will see if it plays out well for Latham.

Isn't it just Ohio State's luck that the 5* OL (Latham) recruit disses us because of the track record in NFL while the 5*CB (Grimes) disses us in spite of the same track record in NFL!

In recruiting you typically lose more than you win; after the March we had the news has been mostly bad. If you average out the past 6 months, it’s been a good year. I expect the Buckeyes’ future looks pretty bright with the guys we have.
