Wynn transferring
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From the horse's mouth. Going back home to Ohio State after the season. Can't say I blame him, as Fason clearly established he is the starting back at Florida

i thought fason was going to the sunday league after this year???

however; the thought of wynn being the power back for the buckeyes next year is an interesting prospect.....i would welcome him with open arms.....

Yea i heard the rumor, but he would have to sit out a year before he could play. So he wouldnt be our power back for next year.

Edit, I think that would give him only 1 year to play here, I just dont see that happening.

wdg...doesnt the new rule that when a coach leaves, that players can transfer penalty-free kick in this year....

thats what i am getting from the florida board....they are scared to death that players will go elsewhere and play right away....its almost like open recruiting on florida players....

I'm pretty sure Wynn played as a true freshmen. If so that means he'd have two years of eligibility left if he chose to transfer somewhere, after he sat out a year(like Schlegel).

Interesting rumor.

Dihard,
Hmm, didnt hear of that rule. You may be right. Can anyone provide a link to that.

Interesting rumor.
Wynn was part of the 2002 class and redshirted his first year. If Dihard is right, then he would still have his junior and senior years to play. If not then, he would only have his Senior year to play if he transfered.

i think i may have just been interpreting the florida board incorrectly......i thought it was a proposal that is still up for inspection by the ncaa...

some florida poster there with a ton of posts (he has to be right, eh) said that this was the first year that a player could transfer penalty free in this situation....

after re-reading...i think he/she was full of shit......

so disregard above post about wynn in 05...make it 06.....

Yeah, unless that new rule is in effect no one transfers for 1 year year gig.

Also by the time he can play here the Wells/Wells/Ringer whatever group will be in place along with Haw and Pittman. Do we need to add a guy who cant crack the lineup somewhere else?

We've needed him in 03 and this year. The problem will most likely be fixed before he could help.

the only way he transfers is if he can do it scott free.....which doesn't seem to be the case....

plus, fason was bragging before the season that he was going sunday after this year.....

wynn

u guys are well aware that wynn is a stud btu let me tell u as a guy who played against him throughout junior high and high school that he is definitly legit. the kid is 220 and pure speed. its hard to believe but he might have been at his best when he was freshman in high school. he had unbelieveable speed and was much much quicker before he put on all that wait. bottom line is that he's a pretty good guy and a damn good ball player and i would sure as hell would like to see him in the scarlet and gray.
