Florida State Seminoles (official thread)

It would seem the seat under Willie Taggart has reached "scorching"...

“I believe an exit strategy is being discussed,” Newberg said on the “On the Bench” Podcast. “It’s not a certainty right now. Nothing is done but it is getting real. I’m told that this is a situation where Jimmy Sexton and the FSU administration have been in touch. They have been talking directly about money and a potential buyout-slash-negotiation if it is to come to that. Yeah. I think in the scenario where Taggart does get let go, it’s if this team continues to go down the path that it’s going, continues to play and make the same mistakes that it has. And on the business side, there’s a deal that gets struck in the background.

Fuck that. I lived in Tallahassee on and off for10 years. I’m loving every minute of the shit show there.

This times infinity. Let these lower Alabama fucks suck on it for a few more years.

Lived in Tally for 7 years myself. It’s one of more than a dozen cities I’ve lived in. It’s the only place I’ve lived that I didn’t like in some way. The redneck culture there, combined with the universal refusal to even discuss football played north of Tennessee (it’s beneath them, you see), combined with their belief that FSU had a birthright to a place in the BCS/playoff... all that and more made it difficult to think of them as human. They seem to be more closely related to the mutants in happy valley. The geographic isolation of both is, I’m sure, a contributing factor to the cultural sickness. Tally is more isolated than Vally; just sayin’.

I lived there a tad over 7 years and can honestly say that if a meteor erased it tomorrow I would consider the world to be, on balance, a better place.
