Football forum back to football, new temp Clarett forum, life goes on.

Discussion in 'ESPN's 04-05 war against tOSU and Tressel' started by Clarity, Nov 11, 2004.

In an effort to return the football forum's primary focus back to OSU football, the Clarett-related topics have been isolated to a temp holding forum of their own. For the time being this will be a child of the general football forum, but (assuming this starts to slow/die down) will migrate to a child of open discussion shortly thereafter. At some point down the road we'll probably dump the whole thing into the holding cell for the sake of a time capsule. Between Purdue, Michigan and then the question of what bowl -- we have plenty of non-Clarett issues to discuss.

No one get too upset, it's not hard to get to the Clarett threads, and now they're all together and easier to navigate (there are almost 30). On the other side of the fence, those who wish to just ignore the whole fiasco are now more able to. Compartmentalization is a key component to BP's "let the users define their own experience" philosophy. Over-compartmentalization can lead to fragmenting, but in a case like this (30 threads in just a few days, one of them our new #1 most replied to thread, etc.) we need to isolate just to protect the integrity of the main area.

It's a judgement call, I made it, if you don't like it, give me some red chicklets.

And now, back to your regularly scheduled program, which has been blocked at the local affiliate level due to violence and mature language not meeting station manager standards for appropriate content, instead we bring you Barney Sings the Blues.

    Great decision!

And the Halftime TCU-Louisville thread should get tossed in, although it's title sounds like something else.

This is bigger than Clarett, so the name of the forum has been changed.
