Former Auburn Player Stanley McClover

Some of you might have heard rumors (BSB, HH) about McClover wanting to transfer to tOSU- here is his response

McClover

Though he hasn't played a game, McClover has already learned about life in the spotlight. A Web site devoted to Ohio State football recently reported that McClover was unhappy at Auburn and wanted to transfer to Ohio State.

"I saw that, and it's not true," McClover said. "I don't know where that came from. I haven't ever said that. I'm thankful I made the decision to come here. It was the right decision for me."

Auburn is facing some big time turmoil, not the least of which is a potential loss of its accreditation. Auburn needs to thank Colorado for keeping it off the front pages. If he is happy, then I am happy for him. Now, where did that rumor start?

You would think Rea ran it by Kurelic before he decided to put it an article. I doubt he would write about a rumor without it having some substance. It's funny that he wrote about it shortly after HH's post. :susp:

I think that a lot of Auburn players will beceom increasingly upset with that program - pre-season #1 team folds their tent early; the AD and trustees try to back-stab the head coach; possible loss of accreditation; mediocre recruiting season (except for Hart :grr: ); and the list goes on.... Auburn could be in a shambles in a year or two.

Speaking of HH, does he post over here yet?

I agree with Holic - McClover was giving the same sort of answer a coach gives after a secret interview for a new job - "I am happy at Hometown U and have no thoughts of leaving."

How Hart was convinced to join that environment is still a mystery to me.
