Friday Night Lights at tOSU - July 26th, 2013

‏@JWagner11W
Kerry Coombs wanted to see physical play. One of the CB just bullied one of the WR
Kerry Coombs yelling that this has been a great night and a great camp.
I can hear Coombs clear as day. Keeps repeating refuse to lose. They want kids that love to compete.

Hey MD Buckeye: I hear you on EGW and Webb.

One quick question: Seems like a lot of guys backed out of FNL at the last minute this year. Is that typical this time of year w/ family vacations, 2-a-days starting back up for these HS kids, or just a coincidence that so many backed out or did not participate tonight?

I wouldn't look too much in to it. Trying to get an accurate list of attendees prior to camp is VERY difficult.

Those that attended & didn't participate may have been asked/instructed by their HS coaches not to or could be coming off an injury that we aren't aware of.

I used to interview quite a few of the kids, a lot back in the Florida FNL days. I'd say the #1 reason for quick backouts is pretty basic; the kids jumped at the invite and never got an OK from the parents or coach. Nothing major or surprising, this type of quick drop off will always be an occurrence and nothing to be worried about.
