Latest news: Codi just wrapped up his sophomore season. He now has one and a half varsity seasons under his belt and is progressing nicely. I just sent his highlight video out at the end of last week and already had some positive feedback from 4 D1 colleges. The best news was that the University of New Mexico thought he was a senior and asked to have him do a recruiting visit on Jan 18. The feedback was encouraging because they said "they felt he could step in right now and start for them"...
Very encouraging! I will be fine tuning the highlight and sending it to the Buckeyes soon.

Codi is now a Junior and has actually trimmed down to 6'3 270. He is currently being recruited primarily by the Oregon Ducks. He has an unofficial scholarship offer already from the University of New Mexico. He enjoyed a recent recruiting trip to San Jose State and they seem interested as well. He is currently considered by most to be one of the top OL/DL in California. I have sent film in to the Buckeyes, but not even a reply yet. We will keep plugging away though in hopes of being noticed.
Here is a one game highlight from last weeks "Bass Bowl" game, which his team won 36-14. Codi is #77 in the white jersey.
He totaled 18 pancakes in the game on Offense (He played over a DL/OL kid that is 6'8 295 and another OL/DL that is 6'3 280). He tossed them around like rag dolls all game.

Local TV coverage talks up the team win and recognizes Codi several times for his OL/DL play.

Hoping Coach Vrabel or Coach Warriner show some interest in Codi.
I made a point to make sure Vrabel was in on the film email list I sent each time. I believe I've sent him highlights 3 times now, two times for sure. Of course some coaches actually have someone sift through film for them on prospects, then they just look at the best stuff. It could be Codi just isn't making the cut in terms of what the Buckeyes are looking for in terms of skill or size, or both.

Week 9 Highlight. He led the game in tackles, blocking percentage, and pancakes. He also had a sack, 3 tackles for losses, and a blocked PAT. Local radio that broadcasted named him Player of the Game.
Codi is #77 in Matte Black. On the second to last play in the highlight (3:01) he lines up at Fullback and destroys the MLB.
