Future Football Schedules (Updated 11/21/2023)

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. That's an old link. There was a series scheduled for those years and it was cancelled in 2011. And again, Steve Snapp passed away last year, and hasn't been in the AD for at least four or five.

Oregon St is currently scheduled for that opening week in 2018, and that was just announced about 18 months ago.

The O-Zone usually has some very good articles, this one is an exception.....

Michigan Football is in Need, So Ohio State Should Help Them Out

In sports, specifically where rivals are concerned, there is almost always a time and place for hostility and vitriol and rancor and acrimony and disdain and repulsion and animus, but there also comes a time when those things need to be temporarily put away when someone is in need.

Unfortunately, that time has come. The University of Michigan football team is in need and the Ohio State Buckeyes are in a position to help them.

Last week's decision by Michigan to schedule Notre Dame in 2018 and 2019 has put them in a difficult situation, but it is one in which Ohio State should seriously consider lending a hand.

You see, Michigan's 2018 schedule has them traveling to Notre Dame, Michigan State and Ohio State, and then hosting all of them the following season. That is the kind of scheduling imbalance that can throw a program out of whack.

Last Friday on the WTKA-AM radio program "The Michigan Insider", Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel talked about the unfortunate circumstance in which the U of M currently finds itself.

"I've had conversations and will continue to have conversations to look at the imbalance of (the schedule), particularly of having Michigan State and Ohio State in the same year," he said.

"It's something that I'd like to work towards to have that balance. (Ohio State and Michigan State) are our two biggest rivalries on our schedule every year. While you love the fact that you have both at home when you have them, you hate the fact that you have both on the road like this year. It just causes that imbalance for our fans and our team."

The logistics could never ever be worked out....so just:

Ohio State didn't negotiate with Notre Dame. Is Ohio State supposed to be their athletic director? Ok. scUM football has been shut down. There. Glad to help.

It seems as if the problem originated when they scheduled Notre Dame and therefore, that is where the problem lies. Let the Domers help them out. Ask Notre Dame to switch the game to Ann Arbor in 2018 and play in South Bend in 2019. I don't care what logistical problems it causes on their end, it's their issue to deal with. Or they can choose not to deal with it and.....FUCK MICHIGAN.

Checked the first post, and I think it needs a lot of updating. I could've sworn we made a home-and-home deal with NoD sometime early next decade. 2017 (September 9) and 2018 (September 1) need to be filled. And I think we play FAU sometime in 2019, reading the Lane Kiffin and the Bama threads, though I find it unlikely Lane will be around then.

Will now play TCU @ AT&T Stadium in 2018, no longer playing TCU in 2019

Home/Home with Washington in 24/25

https://www.landof10.com/ohio-state/ohio-state-tcu-cowboys-stadium

The Buckeyes announced on Thursday that their 2018 away game against TCU will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. In order to do so, Ohio State eliminated its previously 2019 home date with the Horned Frogs.

Ohio State replaces its previously scheduled home date with the Horned Frogs with a matchup against Miami (Ohio) on Sept. 21, 2019.

In addition to its date in Jerry World, Ohio State also announced a home-and-home series with Washington, slated for 2024 and 2025. The Buckeyes will travel to Seattle in 2024, before hosting the Huskies in Columbus the following year.

I thought we swore off playing triple option teams after playing Navy caused so much unfortunate distraction in the 2014 National Championship Season.

And yet, here we are are playing Army in 2017?

Why doesn't Gene Smith ever get fired?
