Will now play TCU @ AT&T Stadium in 2018, no longer playing TCU in 2019

Home/Home with Washington in 24/25

Re: The Buckeyes announced on Thursday that their 2018 away game against TCU will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. In order to do so, Ohio State eliminated its previously 2019 home date with the Horned Frogs.

OK, why was moving the 2018 game with TCU to Jerry's World contingent on eliminating the 2019 home date?

TCU and OSU were previously trading home games. Now 2018 is no longer considered a home game for TCU, so TCU probably doesn't feel obligated to go to Columbus in 2019.

Ohio State cancels series with Vols
Nov 22, 2011
With the Big Ten set to go to nine conference games later this decade, Ohio State has canceled a scheduled two-game series with Tennessee.
The Vols were scheduled to play in Columbus in 2018, while the Buckeyes were scheduled to travel to Knoxville in 2019.

Just sayin': If Ohio State wanted a couple easy wins against a Power 5 conference team, that was sure a major blunder.

Everyone gonna eliminate a top tier OoC game only to find out that strength of schedule is important this year for the committee. This decision is going to make the regular season very boring IMO. I love these tough early season ooc games. NCAA need a rule that any FCS school needs to be played by week 5 of the season.

assuming the committee doesn't just go and do the opposite in '18

I think the CFP is way too new and the committee has proven to be way too inconsistent for AD's to start making schedule changes yet.
