Jahmyr Gibbs (RB Detroit Lions)

I know that. It's still slow and doesn't jive with his tape. There has to be more to the story with regards to his track times.
Does this supposed 40-time work for you?
The final score of the first half came in a blur when Gibbs went off left tackle for a 50-yard touchdown, shaking two defenders at the line and showing his sub-4.5 speed in the 40-yard dash to reach paydirt again.

that is over 19 mph in mps and would have won the silver medal at the 2012 olympics.

Remember Tedd Ginn? It took him 3-4 full strides to get up to full speed, but once he was in top gear no one ever caught him. Same could be for Gibbs...
Bad comparison as Ginn was a world class sprinter

He was recruited to Ohio State University with the thought that he could qualify for the 2008 Olympics, and he ran the 100 meters in 10.2 seconds as a freshman. Ginn chose football over track, and now is gearing up for another season with the Panthers after coming up short in the Super Bowl in February.

But Gibbs has elite speed, every RB doesn't need a 4.3 40 to be successful. He is shifty enough and can fit in this offense and can do great things.

He ran 10.2 as a freshman at OSU. Not the same as his times as a high school junior or senior. And if you watch his tapes, it takes him a step or so more than his competitors to approach his top end, but once he start to approach the top end he just pulls away from everyone. And regardless, football and track speed are not the same...Teddy just happened to have both.

Yes, but if I remember Teddy qualified for rhe junior Olympics, in HS! My point is hes not the best comparison because he did have both. Unlike Gibbs, who's obviously not an elite track athlete but a very good football player

you are correct. 11.99 placed 8th at the 2012 olympics. 8th fastest in the world.
We're talking about the men's 100 meters, right? 7 guys were under 9.99, Tyson Gay was DQ'd, and Asafa Powell finished 8th because there were only 8 guys in the final. He pulled up due to a groin injury, so trying to make his time in that event sound like it's world class speed in very disingenuous. He could have slowed down even more and finished in 8th place with a time of 20 seconds.

So you're saying Zach Harrison isn't the 8th fastest man in the world?
