The #5 overall recruit in the Class of 2020 .... in other words, the kind of "must have" recruit for whom some people want to shell out seven-figure NIL deal. Now looking for his fourth team in two years after achieving limited success at his first three destinations.

No, I'm not saying that every five-star stud is going to be a waste of money, but if you need yet another cautionary tale about the risks involved with "buying" unproven teenagers, well here you go....

I think the cautionary part is that these NIL's are going to get tougher with the contracts. Go more "golden handcuffs" than "pot of gold" if they haven't begun to already. That is going to mean the athletes and their families are going to need lawyers/agents or they are going to get fucked over.

A kid taking the money then transferring is just the cost of doing business as a dumbass (having a weak agreement) in my book.

this kid is definitely a cautionary tale.
but he is one that i'm not sure how to "solve".

I'm pretty sure he is battling some sort of mental illness and if he doesn't get help will not have a happy ending.

no, that is not me being facetious and making fun of a kid.
there were rumors about him being off and maybe having some depression when he was at LSU. Then he left because he was "homesick".

so the knock on him is being mentally soft, but in reality he may seriously need professional help and isn't getting it.
he's just being "made happy" so he can suit up.
