GA DB Chad Clay (Georgia Signee)

Great prospect but a situation where OSU was willing to roll the dice on other DB targets as opposed to taking Chad right now. Not to make it sound like OSU wouldn't have taken him but they would have preferred to have more time to evaluate him in relation to other targets. When he moved up the timing of his decision, that took OSU out of consideration.

He was arrested in April for shooting up a dorm room with a bb gun. His 2nd arrest was earlier this week for stealing a pair of used $30 apple headphones.

should have taken the safe road and just been driving around with a stolen handgun and pot

you move up to the big time crimes you get the big time punishments

kids gotta learn somehow

BB gun and stolen headphones vs. drugs and a stolen REAL gun. This kid learned the hard way that you need to sweat during your youth or maybe the DA didn't have air conditioning.

Nice to see CKS doing his best to keep up Richt levels of discipline.

Wish Chad well.
+1, Georgia has long been the outlier SEC power where discipline is more important than cover-ups. I think this means that the discipline decisions come from the school administration and they don't screw around and not just Richt. You really don't see that anymore. You may have released a good player, but all of the rest know that they have to fly right and the team is better because of it. Hope no one gives any crap about this being 'just a 3 star', over the last decade UGA has punished their top athletes as well.
