Been a minute but...

Ohio State's No. 1 cornerback target is reportedly back on the market.

North Gwinnett (Ga.) four-star prospect Jordan Hancock has decommitted from Clemson, per 247Sports' Clemson reporter Anna Hickey.

After not having a player decommit from the program since 2016, the Tigers have lost commitments from two players in Hancock and five-star defensive end Korey Foreman, who remains uncommitted since pledging to Clemson in April.

Shortly before Hancock's decommitment was reported, a Crystal Ball prediction from 247Sports' national recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong was placed for Hancock to land with the Buckeyes. Wiltfong dropped a “Confidence Rating” of 9 on a scale of 1-10, meaning he believes it is a near lock that Hancock will commit to Ohio State.

Wiltfong wrote:

Look for Hancock to reopen the process shortly.

The No. 5 cornerback in the Top247 feels comfortable with the people in Columbus and loves the player development at the position. He visited during the fall and was going to return for an official in June.

COME TO THE LIGHT.
Last night, it became crystal clear where Ohio State's sights are set.

With four-star cornerback Jordan Hancock decommitting from Clemson and *SPOILERS TO FOLLOW* all-but officially flipping to Ohio State, the Buckeyes commits basically just took a victory lap on Twitter. But one Tweet, in particular, was quite a bit... pointed.

I don't know for sure if Ohio State is out in the recruiting field politely informing players that Dabo has said some blatantly racist stuff and said he would quit coaching if players were paid, but they probably don't have to, because I know darn well that guys like Tunmise Adeleye are doing that daily.

I honestly get the vibe that Tunmise doesn't even really care about getting them to flip to Ohio State specifically – he just wants them to think twice about going to Clemson. And it seems his pleas are starting to pay off.

It's about time.

Will be REAL interesting to see them in playoffs several years down the road to see if Adeleye's words come back to bite him. Make sure those knee braces
are buckled up tight, Tunmise.

1) at all the examples of things that were being hammered... perhaps Dabo did this to himself through his own actions... repeatedly

2) at the idea that this was some nefarious orchestrated scheme by Day versus the recruits in the class talking about the things that matter in their lives

I’m sure Ryan Day was behind a cringeworthy take by Dabo going viral

Also, this seems interesting from Andrew Ellis...

I don't even want to tell you what Clemson pulled to get him to commit. It's the reason a lot of the Ohio State commits are taking shots right now (and rightfully so).

Ohio State doesn't really "negative recruit" for two main reasons: (1) there is so much to "positive recruit" about Ohio State that there's really no need to talk about any other school; and (2) negative recruiting doesn't really work with most recruits.

Now with that being said, Dabo really did wear a "Football Matters" tee shirt ... and Dabo really did tell people to move to another country ... and an assistant coach really did drop an n-bomb on a black player ... and said assistant coach really is still on the staff at Clemson ... and there really was a "Confederate flag parade" in Clemson ... and the founder of the school, Thomas Green Clemson, really was a Confederate soldier/traitor....

If the Ohio State coaches brought up any of those issues, which they really didn't have to do because it's all very public, then that can hardly be considered "negative recruiting" and it is certainly not "as negative as you can possibly get in the most pathetic manor you can." What's pathetic are Clemson fans who continue to support Dabo and his racially insensitive actions and then take it out on a recruit who sees the light.

You left out John C Calhoun owned the land Clemson is on and was the Uncle or some relation to Clemson. Also there’s a house on campus called the Calhoun house. Tillman hall as well (believe thats named after some traitor).

I use to know all the stuff but forgot a lot of it...
