It doesn't.
To elaborate people need to understand that under Meyer new offers aren't always related to a current target. This staff takes nothing for granted. While they may think they lead for Okudah, for example, there is nothing guaranteed until he signs. So if the staff identifies another player who they think can help this football team, they are going to throw an offer their way. There have been years where OSU has been full at a position only to keep recruiting additional players either as a backup option in case there is a decommit (even if there wasn't any evidence to suggest that was a worry) or simply to bolster relations at that particular high school. This staff is relentless in that manner. So while it is possible you will see a domino effect like that at certain positions (QB comes readily to mind), at other position the staff will simply continue to recruit those that they have identified as the best prospect in the country regardless of the current circumstances.

"I talked to Coach Meyer tonight and let me know they wanted to offer me. I don't know what took them so long but I'm happy to have it now. It means a lot to me and my family. Ohio State has been my dream school since I was little, they have always been one of my favorite teams to watch. They have a great program and a lot of great players have come from there."

I stand with Wade... but not the other one.
