Harris was asked what Johnson had to say to him as he was going through drills.
“He was just telling me to work hard,” Harris said. “But that’s what I do anyways. It’s already instilled in me to do that. That is nothing new. I feel like I know what I’m doing.
“I learned you have to go 100 percent. Every drill, everybody is looking at you so you don’t want to have any bad reps. If you go 100 percent, you have nothing to worry about.”
Up until this week, the NCAA had not allowed in-person recruiting contact for prospects and coaches. Although coaches could conduct Zoom calls and text prospects, Harris said today marked the first time he had spoken with Johnson.
“The first thing when I got here, I sat down and talked with him,” Harris said. “I got some knowledge and talked to him. He’s not a coach who will throw you an offer over the phone. He wants to watch you work and then see what you can do. Then he will throw you the offer if he wants to.
“I feel like I showed my speed and my hands and my strength. I want to sit down and talk to him some more.”
Even matched against some of the better offensive tackles at the camp, Harris had few issues getting off the ball and using his speed and strength to get to the dummy quarterback.
“It was too easy,” he said with a smile.
Harris was asked what it would mean if Ohio State came through with an offer.
“It would mean a lot,” Harris said. “It would let me know where I’m at. I will talk to them after the camp and see what they are thinking.”

Harris was asked what possessed him to come up to Ohio State for the camp.
“I’ve never been to Ohio and I wanted to come up here and see what it was like,” he said. “I’m a fan of Chase Young. That’s my favorite player. I like the school, too.”
Harris said he was unsure if he planned to attend any other college camp dates.
“I’ll just look at whatever comes my way,” he said.
