Aubrey SoLLomon (DL ttun, transfer to Tennessee)

This kind of thing does seem to happen to scUM, doesn't it? Remember Hoke calling Kyle Berger, Alex? Berger eventually chose Ohio State, though he said he tried not to take that incident into account in his decision. But you have to imagine that something like this happening consistently will have some amount of impact on a recruit's decision.

Ben Roethlisberger has maintained he eliminated Ohio State as a college destination because John Cooper continually mispronounced his last name.

Wasn't there a story they thought Anthony Gonzalez was a kicker when he visited michigan?

The consensus reaction from their fans seems to be "if something like this made him decommit, we don't want him anyway."

Yeah, sure he should trust his future with coaches who doesn't even know who he is. No big deal.

It makes you wonder how Harbaugh manages to secure commitments in the first place.

Personality? I don't see the appeal.

Attention to detail? Doesn't look like it.

Intensity? Maybe?? But who wants to spend time with the guy who's always five seconds away from a fist fight.

Proven results? Given how much he embellishes his track record, the appeal seems to grow less and less each day.

One of their fans had some form of understanding over the situation. Something aling the lines of, "If we expect kids to commit over shoes or jerseys, we shouldn't be shocked when they decommit over the letter."

The same thought crossed my mind yesterday when the shit was hitting the fan with that ttun. I just don't see how his recruiting gets much better than what we have seen. The fact that he needs to hire high school coaches to lure recruits speaks volumes.

Most of it is media hype, coupled with his one-year fluke success at Stanford, and the 49ers...
