GA S Nick Glass (Georgia Decommit)

2014 DB Nick Glass ponders future at UGA
August, 10, 2012
By Kipp Adams | ESPN.com

Nick Glass (Atlanta/St. Pius X) has been committed to the University of Georgia since April.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound safety, once strong in his convictions to be a Bulldog, now appears to have had some questions surface. Playing time, and how he fits into the depth chart, are foremost in his mind.

"It has been good," Glass said of his commitment to Georgia. "I have been talking to them about the safety spot. They have about four or five safeties and that is making me a little itchy and I am just trying to see what is going to happen with them before I make a decision."

His pledge to the Bulldogs never really stopped others from staying actively in the picture. Some of the prominent regional schools as well as national powers have been sure to let Glass know that they are interested.

"A couple of teams have still been talking to me like Florida, Clemson, Tennessee, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Southern Cal, schools like that," he said.

Meanwhile OSU loses 6 safeties - Johnson, Barnett, Bryant, Wood, Domicone, Brown - by the time he arrives, leaving:

Ron Tanner, Devan Bogard, Jayme Thompson, maybe Tyvis Powell (depending on position) or Najee Murray.

On paper, none of those guys has the recruiting site reputation to scare away Glass, especially since they will play very sparingly before Glass chooses a school.

Burrows is still listed as a corner.

Clemson still in mix with Glass

By Phil Kornblut
Georgia commitment DB Nick Glass of Atlanta is far from shutting down his recruiting. He said Friday he will take a visit to Ohio State in November for the Michigan game. He also has Clemson, Alabama and Southern Cal still on his list. Glass was strong on Clemson even when he committed to Georgia in April saying, "I love Clemson." At the time he said he planned to take in a game at Clemson this season.

OSU visits Nick Glass, Nick Ruffin
November, 9, 2012
By Brad Bournival | ESPN.com

Georgia got some love from Ohio State on Friday.

With ESPN Watch List quarterback DeShaun Watson (Gainesville, Ga./Gainesville), ESPN 150 inside linebacker and Auburn commit Trey Johnson (Lawrenceville, Ga./Central Gwinnett) and ESPN Watch List outside linebacker Korie Rogers (Buford, Ga./Buford) already paid a visit, the Buckeyes were at it again.

This time, Ohio State checked in with Georgia commit and ESPN 150 safety Nick Glass (Atlanta/St. Pius X) and his teammate cornerback Nick Ruffin.

Glass not completely full with Georgia

By Phil Kornblut
Junior DB Nick Glass of Atlanta has been a Georgia commitment since early April but continues to consider other options despite being what he calls "95%" committed to the Bulldogs. "It's still Georgia but a lot can happen in a year and a half," Glass said. 'I'm still committed but I'm looking at all options." Glass has been to Florida, Florida State, Tennessee and Georgia this season and might go back to Georgia this Saturday. He is going to Ohio State for the Michigan game. "I'm looking hard at Clemson and Ohio State," he said. "You could say they are tied for second. I'm also looking at UCLA and Alabama." Glass said he talked with Clemson recruiters Marion Hobby and Charlie Harbison on Tuesday for about 20 minutes. "They need real good defensive backs and I like the overall plan they are putting together," said Glass who has visited Clemson three times for a junior day, a camp and a visit. USC recruiter Lorenzo Ward stopped by the school a couple of weeks ago to check on Glass but he's not interested in the Gamecocks. This season Glass has 48 tackles and 2 interceptions.
