Game Thread Game Eleven: Ohio state 25, Michigan 21 (final)

All it takes is one game for the Michigan arrogance to resurface.

Again, it comes as close to being in Michigan's favor as a four-game stretch in the Big Ten figures to be: at Iowa, at Northwestern, home to Indiana and Ohio State. The road games will be difficult, but Michigan is probably the better team in each instance.

Michigan will be fortunate to win either of its remaining road games. Better than Ohio State? How so?

Are you kidding me? scUM is probably the better team in each instance? Isn't Iowa favored this weekend against them? Then they go up against a Northwestern team that has an offense that could score at will against that crappy scUM defense. Of course they will beat Indiana...but they are DEFINITELY not better than Ohio State. scUM could go 1-3 in their next 4...making them 5-6 without a bowl game to play. I don't think that is very likely either though. My best bet would be to see them at 6-4 entering The Game. And at that point, anything can happen. Best team doesn't necessarly win that game, but tOSU is the better team at this point.

Damn am I excited about this game...I hate those bastards. I really want to go to the game, but I don't want to buy tickets unless they are in the OSU section. I can't stand going there and sitting with weasels. Oh man...the next 3 games can't come and go quick enough. Bring on Michigan!!!!!!!!!!!

Only 26 days to go. Man I am so stoked. Can't wait to see the silver bullets lay the wood in Ann Arbor.

I just hope they collect all the garbage the "fans" throw on the field quickly, so it doesn't drag the game out too much. I'm pretty sure that's the only home field advantage meatchicken really has.

I need tickets, really badly...everything is planned out except for the minor detail of tickets. Hangin out with good friends (both Michigan and Ohio State students), tailgating...then witnessing our Buck's destroy the Wolverines. But alas...no tickets!

:scum4: :oh: :io:

I've been thinking about this game more and more as each day passes. I can't wait! I am sure the players are the same way. The team should take most of this week to focus on Michigan, because we could just run basic plays against Illinois and still kick the crap out of them.

I wonder if Jim Tressel finds a way to mention Michigan in every practice. I hope he does!

I think the Buckeyes should break every huddle with, "Beat Michigan!"

This game is the biggest game in college football, and Tressel has a chance to win 4 out of 5 of em. That'd be awesome! I can't wait!

Night game?????

I caught the tail end of a Toledo Radio Sports Show talking with Paul Keil "the Voice of the Buckeyes" earlier this week. They heard rumblings of possibly moving the OSU/UM game to a night game so that ABC/ESPN could televise other "more important" games early! Has anyone heard the whole story on this? Please tell me TV is not taking another tradition away!:osu:

I haven't heard anything about this. This would really surprise me. I've always wondered what the game would be like under the lights. If it ever happens, I'd rather it be a home game. But I dunno...I don't know if I feel it would ruin tradition. I mean...it would be kind of cool, but at the same time kind of not cool. I really don't know how i'd feel about it. 1pm is fine with me. This game doesn't need to be a night game to be the best game in the country.

"The Game" will never be played at night, at least not in Columbus, due to safety concerns and riot control. By playing the game early, the idiots usually pass out before night-time, when the riots always break out. Also, the additional police that are brought in have better visibility when it's still light out after the game.

I think it's the same reason you'll never see a student section in Ohio Stadium. The school views it as too dangerous.

The school doesn't get to choose I don't think. I'm pretty sure ABC/ESPN gets it's choice. So I don't see why it would never be at night in Ohio if ABC didn't want it that way. I find it hard to believe Ohio State could trump ABC on when the game is. But maybe they can, i'm not positive.

But...for awhile now, ESPN.com has listed the Ohio State/Michgan game at 1pm...both on tOSU's schedule, and on ESPN's complete college football schedule. But now all of a sudden it's been changed to TBA.
