Game Thread Game Five: Penn State 17, Ohio State 10 (Final)

Penn State gave up 29 points last week, thats not that tough of a defense, I dont care what the excuses are. Robinson is a horrible quarterback, hes the most mistake-prone leader of an offense I have seen in my life, game after game after game he makes poor decisions and bad mistakes, and that will get him killed against our defense. I have expected Penn State to look alot better so far this season, but they havent.

We have the quickest and strongest defense I have seen at the college level in my life. We will completely shut down their offense, at the most I would expect one big play from either King or Williams on the outside. Robinson is the worst quarterback that we have faced thus far. He has never seen anything like the OSU defense, and after this game he will be praying that he never faces us again.

That prayer will undoubtedly be granted.

PSU's offense was horrendous last year. They may be somewhat better this year, but I seriously cannot see them being able to move the ball against a fresh OSU defense. I think we come out and reverse this night game trend...

Penn States best playmakers are two true freshman, HELLO.

Welcome to THE Ohio State University's defense.

If you travel over to the Penn State message boards, they seem more interested in what colors they should wear to the game, white or blue?

Ill say it again, Michael Robinson is the worst quarterback we have seen so far.

PSU will play us tough and to the wire! Turnovers will be a big factor in this game, for both sides! If we take care of the ball, game over. If we give up the ball it will give them life and keep the crowd in the game. Score early and make the crowd a non-factor. Their QB sucks! But he keeps playing. They won't quit. No matter the score. Tressel's style will probably help Penn stay in the game late. This could be another ugly , defensive game.

We'll know more about PSU this weekend, since they're playing Minny. The NW game was on the road, so it's not much of a comparison point. The Gophers are going to Happy Valley, so PSU has to get up for two big games in a row. We'll also see how good that defense is against a real offense.

I think a big key to this game (I don't mean a key so big that you can't keep it in your pocket. I meant an important key) is going to be the Buckeye offense vs. Penn State defense. We all know that the Buckeye defense can and will stomp all over Penn State offense. But when you get in a game that's dominated by defenses, the game can turn on a single play. One blown coverage, and that's the game (1996 OSU-scUM). If Ohio State can keep their offense on the field for long, sustained drives (hopefully touchdown drives), the Buckeye defense will stay rested for some Lion-stomping, and a couple of Penn State lucky big plays will only make the score 35-14, instead of 35-3.

This is the game I 've been worried the most about all year. PSU always plays us tough, and our road nite-game record is not so good. The bye week should really help us. The worst part is I HAVE TO BE IN A WEDDING THAT NIGHT. FUUUUUUCK!!!
Go Bucks.

At least you can sneak out and find out the score. I AM GOING TO BE ON AN AIRPLANE during the game!!! :smash:

If anyone has any great ideas on how I can listen and/or watch the game while in flight it would be many greenies for you until I couldn't give you more greenies.

Turnovers will be the key. If we can hang onto the ball. The Bucks should be alright. Because our defense will always give us a chance to win. I don't see us having a hard time containing Michael Robinson. Him being at QB alone gives us at least two ints. That will shutdown that lion's roar!

AirTran and JetBlue have in-flight XM radio On XM, Big Ten games are on channels 197-199...I don't think that a portable XM receiver will work on other flights, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Plus JetBlue has that neat option of sideways landing gear! :groove:
