I’m good with the way they ended it for Jaime and Cersei, too, although the lead-up to it with Euron may’ve been the most ridiculously forced and unnecessary scenes in the series.
There was no way to out-do the Clegane Bowl hype and I think they did about as good a job with it as possible. You could’ve staged that fight 200 other ways, but essentially a draw that destroys them both would’ve been the only honest way to end it. Overall, yes, there were problems with the episode, but I felt a lot better about the season during/afterward than I had after episode 4.

We’ll see how they land it, then - if she did completely lose it and all ability to behave like a rational person than she’ll continue behaving that way in the next episode, right?

She’ll just be completely unhinged and they will basically have to murder her right away, yes?

Or will she be able to switch on and off her mass genocide switch? and will she be back to wanting to be a good ruler in the next episode so the writers can pretend like getting rid of her is a tough decision that people are still conflicted about?

I’m guessing it will be the latter, because that would be the stupidest way to go considering what she just did.

My feeling is she will be off the rails enough to start killing everyone else. Arya will go after her and die, Tyrion will die. "Burn them all" will be said. She has a dragon and what's left of the only real army remaining. I assume the northerners are on their way back to the north after the shitshow in KL. She will track them down (at the Trident?), kill a bunch of them and be ready to melt Jon before the breaker of chains takes back over enough and she realizes that she isn't fit to be queen. Think Jon staring down the ice dragon before Arya killed the NK, or maybe she tries to burn Jon, but Drogon won't kill him and makes her think twice. She may end up toasting her own army and killing herself to save Jon and what's left of his army. I don't see how they can kill Drogon so I'm guessing when she dies he flys back to Valyria leaving Westeros dragon free and Jon to rebuild Westeros.

An interesting take on the transition from Martin.
