I’ve just re-watched it and it was better this time. I still have the same problems as before, save one, but I think the good parts were better. It was easy to get caught up in the criticism and forget how relatively peerless this show was. Every week was movie-quality cinematography and while there was less action in the finale (how could there not be?) it was no exception. I think the very end was close to perfect and Sansa’s coronation was perfect; which brings me to the one point I’ve reconsidered. I really didn’t like the end for Arya and I still don’t, but I think it’s probably the right ending for someone who does something like killing the Night King. You can’t just go back to your regular life, whatever that is after that. As questionable from the standpoint of just having not laid any foundation for her as an explorer as her ending was, I think it was more right than anything else they could’ve done. I’ll watch them all again sometime.

Watched again. I guess most of the episode was pretty good. Some of the stories had good endings. Still do not get Arya's ending and I guess I don't hate Bran taking the throne, but the way it was done was utterly anti-climatic and could have been done much, much better. But I can concede that it wasn't as bad as I originally thought it would be. Still think the second to last episode was by far the best though and definitely still love the series as a whole.

I don’t know, Arya said multiple times she wanted to see what was west of Westeros. So now that the deed is done, she’s off. She’s been an adventurer, willingly or not, for half her life and is a loner. Seems logical to me. I don’t get the outage.
I'm drawing a blank on her ever saying she wanted to see what was west of westeros?

Her training and hit-list was about taking out people who hurt her family. The lone wolf dies, but the pack survives has been crystal clear in her mind since the beginning. The only reason she started killing was because she believed her family was out of reach or already dead. Now that her family is reunited and her brother and sister rule the 7 kingdoms and her cousin is king beyond the wall she peaces out?

Not a fucking chance.*

There will be several spinoffs. In one, Dany returns after getting healed up in Dragonland. But she comes back in the form of a GOT version of Darth Vader... breathing tubes (since she got stabbed in the thorax) and a voicebox.

In another, the name of King's Landing will be changed to Knots Landing (as a nod to the debauchery of 80's) and will be something of a high-brow D&D comedy showing the foolishness of very bad management. Kind of like "The Office" meets "Dowton Abbey".

Jon Snow will lead the spinoff which closely resembles Little House of the Prairie... and wilderness craziness and injustice will ensue.

Rugbybuck already covered Arya's future as Jack Sparrow.

And Sansa's spinoff will go in the direction of medieval version of "Crown" (Queen Mary, the feminist protagonist) or "Evita" minus Madonna.

All joking aside... there's a whole huge franchise here. Huge money, and I'm not just talking about in the US. GOT is HUGE here in China. There's no way HBO would walk away from that kinda take. No way.

Best, and best-delivered, line from the last episode was Arya bitch slapping wannabe bad ass Yara, who sat out ALL of the fighting: Mention killing my brother again and I’ll slit your throat. Period. No one sitting there doubted that she’d follow through. When She Who Killed The Night King says that, you damn well better listen.

“Sit Down Uncle” was pretty damn good too...

Twice she said she wanted to see what was west of Westeros. So it wasn’t a surprise to me at all.
