Game Thread Game Seven: Ohio State 48, Kent State 3 (final)

Kent St.'s success on the ground worries me a bit. Hopefully it's just a new learning experience.

I hold my breath every time Small or Saine touches the ball.

Boeckman looked crisper.

Schoenhoft still looks shaky. Nice to see him get some reps though.

Our D is getting banged up which isn't what you want with this tough 5 game stretch coming up.

It was kind of an ugly 48-3 win. When you can win 48-3 and still have so much room for improvement, you're a pretty good football team.

There is something seriously wrong if these two aren't named 1st team All-Big 10 at the end of the year.

First of all, 48-3 is a great game, so don't take my next two comments as being overly negative.... but:

1. Today was a missed tackling clinic by our defense. Luckily, there were plenty of other silver bullets flying to the ball carrier, but the number of missed tackles was out of control.
2. What does this team need to do to get a shut out?!?! In all seriousness, every game but the Washington game could easily have been a shut out, but the year's first goose egg is still eluding them.

Totally agree. That was some of the worst run tackling I've seen from an Ohio State defense is a long time.

I would imagine not too many defensive players will be having any friendly chats with Jon Thoma this week...

Just got home from the game. Had a great time. Met IAB and Big Papa. Two great guys. Drank a whole lot less than I did at the Akron game. Was actually upright at the end of the game.

The people I tailgate with are some of the greatest people I've ever met. And for this reason, I'm yet to actually walk to the stadium this year. I enjoy their company and the atmosphere in the RV lot quite a bit. Knowing I can just walk into the stadium for free for every game is great. But I'm enjoying my tailgate time right now.

plain sad defense and 2 things that bothered me like hell during the game was hardly any national college scores and the worse announcers in history doing the dam game. If I heard anything like which, Osu player by name got a tackle,TD,sack or fumble recovered IT WAS A BLESSING but,I heard all the KSU players announced about any great play. Every home game has been the same with suck ass annnouncers. They need to Learn how to do your their job by, showing respect to the HOME TEAM ,PLAYERS and by announcing a great plays by names for both teams.:!
