Game Thread Game Six: #1 Ohio State 35, Bowling Green 7 (10/07/06)

Wow. Just got my first look at the BG two deep. They start four Frosh and seven Sophs - half their team. But their second teams conist of 13 Frosh and 4 Sophs.

All Sophs and Frosh in the entire two-deep in the secondary.

For this game they need to involve the fans in some sort of 'thumbs-up/thumbs-down' system.

This could be the 2006 football version of the Marianas Turkey Shoot...

That's a good point. Most of the dbags that are borderline obsessive Bucks fans (i.e. paint their mobile homes and or VW Rabbit's to resemble OSU helmets, complete with buckeye emblems) actually never attended school there. They follow the team like it is an NFL team, which is interesting considering they consistantly have the second best professional team in the state.

What the hell is this "dbag" talking about? Did he even watch any football last week? The Bucks dominate the Bengals right now.

Hey guys, BGSU student here, just wanted to swing by and say hello. I know for a fact our chances of winning this game are grim, if not impossible. Most of us here at BG just hope for a clean game with no injuries, we recognize that our players are nowhere near the talent level of yours, but our alumni are proud and passionate about our football program, and so they will of course support it and predict a victory, it shouldn't come as a surprise to many of you that many of the people on AZZ feel that way. I guess I'm just trying to bridge the gap, but anyways onto the game.

My prediction as on AZZ: OSU 38, BG 14

OSU is my favorite team outside of BG, I grew up in the state and have always pulled for them ever since I knew what football was. For my school, I see this game as a chance to give our young players experience in a big game environment, a learning tool, as well as a recruiting tool for those in the state of Ohio.

I respect OSU to the utmost degree, many of my friends are current students there, and I wish you guys all the best on Saturday, and for the rest of the season.

Hi Jeremy, welcome to BP. What a great post! We always enjoy playing Bowling Green because they always come to play and try very hard to win.
WE know you will give us the best game possible.
So thanks again and GOOD LUCK to BG .

All you need to know about this game.

NIU is a better football team then Bowling Green, and Bowling Green doesn't have Garrett Wolfe.

Buckeyes by ALOT.

Btw, I know someone will bring uo NIU/BGSU vs. Ohio, but don't base our team off of that. We also lost to Ball State last year. We are a MUCH better team then what we showed.

Thanks for the welcome...I try to pride myself on intelligent conversations about sports, and even life. My philosophy is that I want as much knowledge as I can possible scoop up. I'm looking forward to hopefully sticking around if you guys wouldn't mind for some good football discussion.

Again, thank you for the warm welcome.

Arguable point, however NIU lost to Ohio U. at home, 35-21...we here at BG just beat Ohio U. on their turf 21-9, so does that mean we're better than both teams? The MAC is always wid eopen in both football and basketball, every team plays differently every week.

We also lost at home to Ball State last year. It doesn't refelct how good our team is.

I love that they have (and frequently use) a prayer emoticon.

BTW, they seemed a lot cooler than the Cincinnati fans...
