scarletngrey11 All right, all right, all right.

"You give him an off-season under Al Johnson and the kid is going to be an unstoppable force in the Big Ten," Downing said.

Boone is going to be a great one, cant wait to see him in a few years with Beanie running behind him...

Man you know I'm excited about our team. Yes we're 4-2 but we have games coming up that our offense should be able to do some things against. Pittman deserves to take it in the endzone a couple time this upcoming weekend. Does anyone else think Boone will be starting the rest of the way out? I'd assume that'd be the case since he didn't really do anything to lose the job (even though he got the job by injury).

Whats even more exciting is our O-line's depth not for just this year but next year as well. You wanna talk about a good offensive line things look good in 2006

Boone-Datish-Cordle-Downing-Rehring. to top that off next year we have Pittman as a JUNIOR and Chris Wells will contribute as a freshman as well. I just hope at this point that both Erik Haw and Maurice Wells work hard and find a way to get into the backfield.

Yeah I agree with whats been said. If not for OSU's turnovers and dumb penalty on Carpenter this game might've not been all that close. Now I'm happy we got the win, but what if Pittman doesn't fumble (I'm almost positive we would've got some points there), what if we don't have the other fumbles on kick returns (that takes away atleast 1 TD from MSU), and finally Troy smiths' fumble killed a drive as well.

There are alot of what If's in there, but if our special teams blunders and fumbles on offense wouldn't of happened we might've been able to keep our defense off the field. I thought our offense played good but defently not great. We jus have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot. Especially when we have a good drive going and we're starting to grind on a team. Obviously nothing kills momentum like turnovers, and fumbles are something we do pretty good. We've said this offense needs to get momentum going, and I think honestly if we just dont' turn the ball over we might be able to generate something.

In this me-first world we live in, this quote says all we need to know about T.J. Downing:

"I'm more than happy to help out anybody out there because I love this university, I love this team, more than anything. To be able to help any way I can, I'll do that. If that means bringing along a freshman quicker, I'm good with that."

Again because our wide recievers decided that running into the endzone was better then getting tackled :wink2:

I honestly believe that this is the best offense the Bucks will see this year (including the bowl game). I was very impressed with MSU, but I was also impressed with the Buckeyes defense. The Spartan O-line seemed far superior to any that we've seen, but the Bucks still managed 12 sacks. 12 SACKS!!! Granted, I think 8 were in the second half when the Buckeyes started more stunts and blitzes, but it's still impressive. Also, a handful of them were definitely coverage sacks, which is a good sign with Everett out and a true freshman playing corner.

Sure, Carpenter made a stupid play, but he also played his heart out - especially in the second half. I think he ended up with 4 sacks, and he was basically a one-man wrecking crew on the oversized o-linemen. He's a stud.

The thing that bothers me (and the only thing that could stop the Bucks from running the table) is the turnover margin. The defense doesn't get them, and the offense keeps coughing them up. I don't think it's a fluke. Sure, the defense will end up getting some, but Troy, Pittman, and Ginn will keep fumbling. Troy's spin move and fighting for extra yards will be his downfall. I think the coaching staff knows this now, as they obviously weren't calling the option this week.

I know this may not be a popular opinion, but I want to see more running out of the I-formation with Johnson leading the way for Pittman.

By the way, I have to apologize. I've written this whole thing while dealing with a crying 1-year old. Now that I re-read it, it's a jumbled mess of random thoughts. I think I should stop now.

Nah yertle, it was well stated. I agree that the power formations are doing very well. Also, we are passing out of them finally! even on 1st down! Dionte is a monster, and it requires less reading for Troy to find WRs in that formation.

Can't wait to see him next year with Pittman running behind him. Tony is really starting to come on, his quickness is excellent. The great thing is that he seems be look sharper with every carry he gets.

The absolute best news for our offense is the level of defenses on our remaining schedule.

NCAA scoring D rank as of 10/15 games:

    @ IU-53rd
    @ Minny-60th
    UI-111th
    NU-110th
    @ UM-28th

They have 4 games against 2 below average D's and 2 god awful D's to get their collective shit together in preperation for the season saving trip to AA.

Yeah theres no reason why we can't come out and put up some yards and points against the remaining schedule. In all honesty it would be a shame if we lost any games leading into the trip up to AA. Hopefully we can get some important momentum rolling as we go into Ann Arbor in 4 weeks.

    Lets GO BUCKS!

I get to see replay from the game because my seats are in B-deck. We get to watch the game on TVs they have for people up there who have obstructed views. Lucky for us, we can see the TV, and have a full view of the whole field.

The only game prior to The Game that I have any sort of concern at all is at Minnesota...they're always up for us. At Indiana will be a little tougher than normal, but they're still Indiana. Illinois is a complete joke, and we'll be looking for Payback II against Northwestern (which should resemble Payback I against Iowa).
