Game Thread Game Three: Ohio State 27, San Diego State 6 (final)

Who here is gonna be at this game?

I'll definitely be there, and I'll be yelling for my Bucks as loud as ever.

And I swear, if I hear anyone saying anything disparaging about MY team related to yesterday's loss, I'm going to punch them in the face. Those guys played their hearts out last night, and I simply cannot tolerate idiots disparaging them for coming up short against an excellent opponent.

While the loss is a tough pill to swallow as fans, this team is still in a position to make a special run. This game is critical, and what they need is for us to show up, be loud, and show we're still on their side.

The most important thing with the SDSU game is to get TGII on track. SDSU's kick coverage teams were absolutely abyssmal against UCLA -- they gave up over 200 yards on three punts and three kick offs. I want to see Teddy and Santonio break off some big returns.

I think we will probably come out slow this week. I hope don't but with a loss like we just had. And now we play team like San Diego St that we will be favored to crush I think the players may not be ready to play a team who will be playing very lose while trying to get a major win for their program. I think that in the end though we will pull away but I don't think we will dominate for all 4 quarters.

This is an opportunity that got away, no doubt about it," concluded Anthony Gonzalez.

"That's the test honestly. Are we the type of team that is going to lose this game and regroup and win out, or are we going to fold. I don't think we're going to fold. I think we're going to be just fine."

San Diego State is in for a world of hurt.

This game is a good opportunity to put up some solid rushing numbers. 200-250 as a team would be nice to see, as would more carries for Wells and Schnit (and maybe Haw?).

The kick and punt return teams should also get their due, as mentioned.

On defense, this is a good week to work in some of the younger DEs and DTs as well as DBs while the game is still a game. I don't see the Aztecs moving the ball on the ground at all.

I'd be more concerned about this being a letdown game had OSU won last night. As it stands, they're going to be playing angry, which translates into a long afternoon for SDSU. The Bucks will be way too physical, and I expect to see Tressel putting second teamers in during the first half.

I think we should maybe throw in some younger LBs towards the end, since they will be the biggest replacements next year. No way we should lose this game. We will protect our house from here on out. I want to see anger out of our boys.

Dont know how much of Haw we will see. From what I read, Haw was put on the scout team after being caught with a lil weed, and I guess after that he just didnt make the strides and show promise to make it back on the depth chart. He has the talents, but hes gotta figure a way to get back on top of his game. Till then, lets see what this Florida speedster can do against SDSU.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more from Mo Wells, and you'd think that getting him some more carries is in the plan.

It's hard to tell if Haw is still being disciplined, or if practice performance is a factor, or if both are factors, so he may not see action at all. I'd like to see a fourth back get carries going into the Big 10 portion of the schedule, and don't particularly care who that fourth back is. Watching Pittman limping off of the field really reminds you as to how thin the RB position is.

How about Jamario Oneal? He looks to be in phenominal shape, and as part of the Glenville pipeline the boy has got to have the skill (also is TG's brother). Im suprised to see more reps in the secondary out of Malcom Jenkins than of Jamario Oneal. What we need by gametime Saturday is a clearcut depth chart, ready to go with everyone knowing what they will be doing. Lets make sure we stick to it and play out the game (till its time to pull the starters) and see how well we do with out starters. Guys Im curious about: Oneal, Kerr, Lyons, Dukes

You have to think we're going to see some more depth this year. osualum82 has mentioned a few names that have been in the doghouse that we haven't seen yet this year such as Haw, Frost, and Sirjo. Were they suspended for two games? I'd like to see these guys back on the field soon.
