WATCH: Georgia Tech player knocks out teammate with one punch

If this football thing doesn’t work out for Step Durham, he may have a future in another, slightly more violent sport.

Durham (pictured) and Lance Austin are teammates on the Georgia Tech football team, each playing in the defensive secondary for the Yellow Jackets. In a video obtained by TMZ.com, Durham is seen absolutely laying out Austin with one right cross to the chin/jaw. As Austin is laying unconscious sprawled on the floor, Durham is seen attempting to wake his teammate up, to no avail.

WARNING: a bit of NSFW language is included, so be aware.

According to CBS46’s Emily Gagnon, the video was taken at the team’s practice facility roughly six months ago, prior to spring practice. In a statement to CBS, Georgia Tech revealed that the matter came to attention long before the video’s release, saying that “discipline was handled internally.”

Hell yeah brother

222-0. Add up all of Georgia's points from those 4 games and they still need 42 more points to equal 222.

The story, as I understand it, was that Cumberland College didn't even have a football team. But since Heisman's baseball team was embarrassed by Cumberland a few months before that, he made them play football. So they tricked some nerds into thinking the football game was a physics experiment, and made them play football. And this was in the time when you had about 14 players on a team, so when you're winning by 200 or more, you can't really put any back-ups in the game. But I still get the feeling that this Heisman guy was a bit of a dickhole.

Sorry - this really doesn't have anything to do with 2022 Georgia Tech, or of Georgia's recent dominance of them. It's just the first thing I think of when Georgia Tech's thread comes up.

Just wait till they're getting that B1G money. Then they'll maybe almost certainly score enough points over 4 games to win one. Who will be laughing then?
They're actually a perfect fit for the B1G in my opinion.

1). Fantastic academic and research school (Engineering wise). Equal to if not better than UM, Purdue and UI.
2). They legitimately give a shit about college basketball. It's important to them and there is history there.
3). Gives the B1G an urban footprint in the south. Not that its important to Ohio State (you already recruit Atlanta better than Tech does). But its another major market to conquer.
4). Tech (to it's credit) doesn't have a lot of "Old Money influence" around it. There isn't 7-10 "MEGA DONORS" who pull things behind the scenes. The would accept your invite and be good soldiers, doing whatever the B1G brass thought was necessary. Tech is the Anti-Notre Dame. All of the Academic esteem and absolutely zero drama.

Where do they stand on people who enable pedophiles?
Just kidding - the Big Ten seems to allow teams to stay despite being on the "wrong side" of this issue.

I actually agree with all this. We recruit there well, but I do think it would help Ohio State to be playing regular games in Georgia.
