For Christ's sake, this reminds me of the cheerleaders running around claiming that they were athletes too (oh. my. gawd). No, I'm not comparing golfers to cheerleaders. I tend to think anyone involved in clubbing balls is an athlete. :biggrin:

These arguments never get resolved because nobody defines their terms. Per Webster:

Athlete: a person who is trained or skilled in exercises, sports, or games requiring physical strength, agility, or stamina

Since it is the relevant category:

Agile: marked by ready ability to move with quick easy grace

Golfers are athletes.
