Going to see The Who!!!

not sure how many big-name acts go straight into their concert without a set-up act
RUSH, baby! They've been doing it for about three tours now. They play about 30 songs and take an intermission in the middle. I saw them twice last year, and will probably go again this summer for the 30th anniversary tour.

I'm not a huge Who fan, but they are one of the classic greats- should be a cool show.

Here's the best pic I was able to get. That concert was the best I've ever been to.

So, how was the rest of the show? Is this still part of the same tour they started nearly two years ago?

I gotta agree it was a great show when I saw them in the fall of 02. Not the best concert I have ever seen, but one of the top three.

I think it's a new tour. There was a short opening act (a Japanese Taiko drum troup...never did figure out what that had to do with The Who) before The Who took the stage. They played a little over an hour and a half, and did an encore for a total time of almost two hours. We could've gotten a second encore if a lot of the crowd didn't start leaving after the first encore (obviously they never heard of a second encore)...I was pretty pissed about that.
