Here.. I'll decipher it for you... "The NBA sucks, and I'm surprised anyone cares."
Fair enough, it does do its share of sucking. I couldn't figure out if you thought they were in a lockout or something....

I used to watch every playoff game when Jordan, Magic, Thomas, Wilkins, etc roamed the courts. Nowadays I can't bring myself to watch the playoffs until it is almost the NBA finals. The NCAAs are still enjoyable, but the NBA has lost a lot of its luster. Its made improvements the past few years, but still has a ways to go.

Keep in mind that I love Basketball... but its like watching a track meet anymore... all athletes, no skill (sorry to you track guys out there... nothing personal)... the whole thing is about who's bigger and can dunk bigger than the next guy... and there is nothing wrong with that, really but there are about 6 guys who can hit an open 12 foot jumper... and about 10 who can make a free throw... I mean these are professional basketball players.. learn to shoot... anyway, that's only a small reason I don't like the NBA... (Wanna be like Mike kids? Work on your Jumper like Mike).

Anyhow... rant over... there's a lot more I don't like... (Like the One player is bigger than the team issues... on almost any "team" etc.) Hack on the WNBA all you want but those girls are better fundmental players than in the NBA...

Misfortunes of others? :slappy: What a fucking dumbass. People lose basketball games all the time. In fact it happens 50% of the time. :roll1:

Do people lose the seventh game of the conference final 50% of the time? Does their loss 50% of the time mean they can't go to the NBA finals? Do they have opal-heads posting threads about their loss 50% of the time?

Fucking rug-weaver...

Teams lose a home game 7 only 18% of the time, prior to last night. And a home game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals hadn't happened since 1982 (Philly/Boston).

I think those facts help your argument this time, Mili.

Larry Brown last night became the 2nd coach to win 2 Game 7's on the road. Bill Russell (as Player/Coach for the Celtics) is the other.

But of course, Russell had the advantage of plugging in the best Game 7 performer in NBA History (himself) into the games.

I got a sick satification out of watching Shaq take a seat b/c the Heat couldn't finish the game on their own home turf in the most defining game of Shaq's career. I don't like players that aren't willing to sacrifice themselves for the team. The only thing that big bitch did was dunk. He didn't move around any, all the 3 sec violations was an indication at least. Only early in his career with the Magic did he move around enough to be accused of playing defense - then he got fat and got a big head.
I've never been a Piston's fan, and I haven't been too interested in the game since Jordan and such, but I can now say that the Piston's earned my respect for taking out the trash in a great game 7.
Wade on the other hand will be a great player in a season or two, he has all the physical ability but needs experience to build that mental aspect to compliment his skills!

The Piston's will have their hands full with the Spurs! I got my win I don't care so much how it plays out now, I just hope its good from both sides and comes down to another game 7!

With all due respect, AKA, I think you might have decided what you think about the NBA from watching cavs-celtics regular season games from a few years ago ... and the WNBA comparison?!?!? I know you aren't a big enough loser to actually have watched enough WNBA to know what you are talking about. Just to drill home the point, you should try this drinking game with some buddies. The next time you see a WNBA game, grab a few beers, and drink everytime you see a missed layup or airball. Shotgun a beer everytime you see a layup hit the bottom of the rim/backboard. Trust me when I tell you it's like getting run over by a damn Guinness truck. Not that I've been run over by a Guinness truck, but I have wound up sauced for proving this very same point to one of my persistantly ignorant female friends.

Watch the finals and check out the way the spurs play offense, pay close attention to tayshaun prince's shot. As much as you probably hate Rasheed Wallace, I'd take him from 20ft over alot of guys. Same with Chauncy Billups from the free throw line.

I'd advise anybody who thinks that watching the NBA finals is going to be like watching ricky davis shoot layups at the wrong basket to get their head checked. This is going to be a great finals, even if NOBODY watches it on tv.

This pistons-spurs is the series everybody has been waiting for since the lakers got offed last year. These are two of the best basketball teams around. Think that's because basketball is about one dude vs. the team? Think kwame brown watched the post-season from his couch because basketball is about one person being bigger than the team?

Anyway, I'm not really as passionate about this as it seems, I just think that alot of casual basketball fans haven't really watched anything besides sportscenter highlights of the NBA for a long time, and they'd be pleasently surprised if they actually ignored the hype and watched this years finals. It's going to be a great series.

Uh, yes. Every game has a winner and a loser. Therefore 50% of the time, somebody loses. Unless you're talking about regular season hockey.

Stop dreaming about your ex-wife for a second and why don't you add up the playoff win/loss record for every playoff team. I have a feeling the wins = losses.

Wow, you can't make up this kind of complete stupidity. Really, even I am surprised at how dumb he is.

The immigrant fails basic English again. The phrase "Do people lose the seventh game of the conference final 50% of the time?" asks if 50% of the games are the seventh game of the conference final. Stupid fuck.

What is your fascination with my ex-wife and kids? Jealous that you can't have "kids" with your goatfriends? Get it? Kids? Goatfriends? Fucking retard.

.

actually no it doesn't. It aks when you reach the 7th game, do you lose half the time? As any dumbass would tell you, yes.

I guess this means you can't start any threads praising any Buckeye win, since it involves "misfortune" for the other team? :roll1:

Yeah please pretend that most of your started threads aren't about someone screwing up... especially about players who blow it...

Interestingly, even the NHL is going to do away with ties, by instituting shootouts to end games. OK, back on topic.
