bb73: "Teams lose a home game 7 only 18% of the time, prior to last night. And a home game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals hadn't happened since 1982 (Philly/Boston)."

Larry Brown last night became the 2nd coach to win 2 Game 7's on the road. Bill Russell (as Player/Coach for the Celtics) is the other.

But of course, Russell had the advantage of plugging in the best Game 7 performer in NBA History (himself) into the games.
Yep, Russell was 10-0 in Game 7's. Thanks to Don Nelson's shot in LA in 1969 bouncing about 8 feet above the rim and then dropping through, allowing Russ to go out a winner 108-106. I know you weren't born then, but what a lucky shot that was. Although the Celtics might have won it in OT. If you get a chance to see that game on ESPN Classic or something, it's worth it.

I didn't see many in there that were praising people... and everybody was shocked when you started the positive topic about Adam...

You're right, all of these are positive (and from the last month or two):
Favorite Biblical verse?
Good news: David Boston released
Congrats to Jose Mesa...
Barry Bonds suffers another setback...
Tibor's Failed Attempt at Mockery - this was a real gem, he thought he'd claim a cover made long before Illinois lost to UNC deserves to be called incorrect

Fata$$ shoppers treated rudely...

The list goes on and on, but its pretty clear. Nobody revels in other people's misery as much as you. I clicked on the Mesa thread without reading who started it... thinking it would be a positive thread.

nothing like shifting focus away from the topic at hand... you're well known for trying to get a rise out of people and for starting threads mocking people who screw up their lives in bigger ways than playoff games. The reason you are detested is because you love mocking players like Lydell Ross who gave everything they had but bulked up too much at the advice of the coaches.

Hmm...actually this thread has been about Shaq before you shifted the topic to....Tibor. The straw that stirs the drink...

:sleep2:

Now, I will retire for the night to my goat. I trust you will do the same with your cow.

so you don't mock players like Lydell Ross who were one of the few victims of the S&C coaching...? and all you do is post articles about players losing playoff games, not ones mocking them for screwing up their lives majorly with drugs, steroids, other bad decisions?

yeah, let's feel sorry for poor Barry Bonds and David Boston. No doubt you would if they played for scUM, right?

the stupidity continues unabated...

The point is you feed off of shortcomings in others... the attractiveness of someone else's gf notwithstanding (the jab on mine didn't connect, but the one on the other wasn't called for last time around)

Yeah, I really should feel sorry for Shaq. After all he's only a multimillionaire with 3 championship rings. Woe is him. :roll1:

Uh, maybe if a red-blooded Ohioan grew up in Toledo.
Don't kid yourself. Columbus is crawling with Detroit Red Wings fans...

Gotta love the ignorance of calling Rasheed Wallace a thug. Maybe if you watched the games, instead of spouting forth stupidity, you'd learn something :roll1:

Just because they exist doesn't make it right. Kinda like you.

Do I have him confused for some other guy that used to play in Portland with a big white circle in his 'fro that is a total headcase and gets ejected for T's at a record pace? His whole "NWA" attitude and comments likening NBA players to slaves, I suppose that was someone else too?

Wallace doesn't play like a thug on the court, he's worse. He role plays the persecuted-hard-ass-gangsta-type off the court when he's rich and has spent the better part of his life in places like UNC and Portland. He's had it about as rough as Webber.
