A co-worker was tinkering around with this today. Where do they get the picture feeds? Think a whole library is pretty expensive - guess that is where some IPO funds got diverted.

Saw the copyright info in bottom right -- DigitalGlobe EarthSat

Tried a couple of location searches -- very impressive. Got that living in the 21st century thing going for it.

TerraServer is pretty good. The Shoe isn't as clear there, but I pulled up a few other addresses - in one, I can even see my old mailbox through tree branches. Tons of detail.

That knock on your door is either the FBI, Secret Service, or Homeland Security.

It's a shame they didn't take the picture of the 'Shoe when the Bucks were playing (or even just when the field was painted). That would have been incredible.

I'm actually quite suprised that they have the level of detail that they do on the bigger cities, including DC (minus the White House apparently). I would think that the Gov't wouldn't like that too much with their anti-terror stuff, but just think, that is only what is available to the public....I can't even begin to think of how detailed the Millitary satellites can get.

They talk about reading a newspaper over your shoulder from space. That's a pretty good description.

LoKyBuckeye I give up. This board is too hard to understand.
