Just bought the new Aerosmith live DVD!

There's one band that will never have a key member die tragically. The world could never be so lucky.

Only the Jimi Hendrix's die.

Its like putting Motley Crue in a room with 1000 pounds of Crack... it wouldn't kill them... they'd just emerge in a month with a new double live album.

Bogus Match-ups! Where Is Aerosmith?
i was wondering about Aerosmith too, and what about Metallica? i'm not big fans of either, but if you look at their longevity and their impact i don't see how they can be passed up for bands like Buddy Holly and the Crickets or Sly and the Family Stone :tic: ?!?!

Aint got no rubbers and it's rainin all the time...

Is this the impact of witch you seek?

or maybe it was being the pioneers of the rap/rocknroll thing with Run DMC?

I could point out the fact that with out Aerosmith/Steven Tyler, .........

There would be no Liv....

Mmmmmm...... Liv
:groove:  :yow1: :p

If impact was one of the criteria, these guys would probably be a #1, or at worst a #2 seed.....

i was thinking more along the lines of impacting the charts, not changing the face of music.........i figure if a band can sell that many records for that length of time they're doing something right, even if you don't like their music.........others to consider are Garth Brooks, Van Halen and AC/DC (2 bands that i absolutely despise) but i can't discredit their accomplishments..........i guess the list just has too much of a particular slant to it toward old school groups, and i guess i'm feeling overly critical at the moment too.........not trying to stir things up, or make GoBucki feel bad, just throwing some things out for conversation's sake
