Agreed. It's been since what Vice City? Then again, I guess SA had gangs.

I didn't play SA (but I just bought points, and its at 96% done from marketplace), but from what I saw, you kill off the other gangs...That's not cool. I loved GTAIII how the gangs, whenever they saw you drive by they started shooting at you.

There can be side missions/activities of gang wars, but please dont kill them off. In fact one replayability could be where these other gangs, try and overtake the location where your gang is at or whatever.

I just feel like GTA gets kind of boring once you finish the story. Need to have more random things happen.

Oh, you mean like Saints Row? That's basically the gang system on SR. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the SR series, but it's in it's infancy compared to GTA. Plus, I'm hearing this is the last SR?! The [censored]?!?! If anything, they are just stumped they haven't out-done the original Saints Row. But I'm getting off topic now.

But, I agree... Killing off the gangs should NOT be the way they go.

Possible digital download only for the game. Smart move by R* in my opinion. You can make the game as big as you want without restrictions.

I won't be buying this game if it's download only. If it sucks and I want to sell it I'd be SOL.

Making the game bigger is a red herring. A game as big as Skyrim is able to fit on a single BD without a problem. Hell, they're even still able to fit it on a DVD for Xbox by compressing the data and having it unzip and cache to the console's HDD.

This is about cutting overhead, cutting out retailers (despite what the article is trying to spin) and preventing sales being cannibalized by the secondary market.

You won't see games like this as digital download only until the next gen consoles. IIRC, something like 30% of consoles are not even hooked up to the internet. Then add in a pretty big percentage who still have a small hard drive and they would lose about 50% of the people with a console.

You simply won't see very large AAA games as digital download only until the next gen consoles when internet access is more common and even the initial, base models ship with a large hard drive.

In other words, I completely disagree with that article. Pure speculation, and poor speculation at that.

I have no qualms about downloading games, I just want the option to get a disc. It took about eight hours or so to download inFamous. The only reason I did it was because it was free, and even then I regret it because I spent more time downloading it than I did playing it.
