I'd be shocked if Fickle starts Bauserman over any of the other QB's on our roster. As a first year coach wouldnt you want to start someone who could be in the system for more than 1 year.

As long as Kenny doesnt get implicated in tatoogate hes still my pick.

And as an interim coach, you start the QB that gives you the best chance to win THIS YEAR...

You must really be shocked then, considering Fickell has chosen Bauserman over all other QBs on the roster for 3 games running now.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! Exactly. They left him in the game way, way longer than most thought was justified. That means Joe has the coaches' support. We'll see if that changes after looking at the film.

Bauserman has showed us what he can do. Against a bad team, he can do really well. Against a decent team, he can do enough to get a win. Against a talented defense, he didn't make plays - and in any tight game, you will have a real hard time winning if your qb can't make a play or two on his own.

I couldn't believe that they kept trotting him out there in the 2nd half. Joe is what he is - a 5th year senior whose ceiling isn't much higher than what he has shown. Guiton and Miller are young guys who have really high ceilings, but in the short term you are going to have fumbles, interceptions, and bad decisions. Your choices are old and ineffective or young and ineffective. Might as well go with the young guys and try to move them toward their potential.

Favorite call in the Miami game: 1st qtr, second series - the zone read with Joe keeping the ball for 2 yards. Huh?

I still say Kenny over Bauserman anyday...

Agreed. The main reason was the transition from TP2 would have been far easier going to Guiton (not to mention I think we have a better chance at winning with Kenny back there). Secondly, the transition then to Braxton when he comes in is easier from a personnel standpoint.

One of the few things I do know is Fickell is coaching for his dream job here, more than ever. He's balancing ever so delicately on those ropes and with a pretty tough schedule ahead he has no time to waste. Get in a rut, and it's over. MSU, Nebraska, Illinois, and Wisconsin soon await....in a row. The time to make a move is this week, not next. Either move to Guiton if you want a more "veteran" QB out there or hand the reins over to Braxton, because if he doesn't, I see virtually no shot of Luke returning next year.

Sorry, but that's inaccurate. Bollman has chosen Bauserman for 3 games running and that's straight from Luke's mouth.

I am sure that the coaches as a group think/thought that Bauserman gives them the best chance to win.

But we are not privy to discussions and such.

All I know is that if I am a head coach, the buck stops with me. That being said, I make the final decision.

Time to get better and examine options.

Sorry, but that's inaccurate. Fickell's the head coach, not Bollman. Fickell may have decided to delegate the task of choosing a QB to Bollman, but in doing so, Fickell (again, as head coach) does not absolve himselve of responsibility for that selection.
