Gus Johnson leaving CBS

Gus Johnson parts ways with CBS

Johnson's marketing agent, Christian Gesue, initially declined to comment. Contacted again late Thursday night, Gesue said Johnson's departure from CBS was not official. He would not elaborate further.

...

Industry sources said Johnson has spoken with Fox Sports about a role in its college football coverage.
this could just be a ploy to sweeten johnson's contract with cbs.

Funny, a few weeks back I heard a rumor that Gus Johnson was going to become the NFL Network's #1 guy for announcing teams.

But I am hoping Fox gets him. Cuz I would LOVE Gus announcing the Big Ten Championship game!

Actually they named Brad Nessler their #1 guy with Mike Mayock joining him in the booth.

Good pairing there. Now if I could just watch NFL Network..

Gus Johnson is perfect for March Madness. He is too much for NFL football, particularly in the regular season.

I agree. I've warmed up to him a little for football, but I used to hate him calling NFL games. Always loved him for basketball.

Well, if Fox was smart they would put him with their new College Football package. And he could still call their college basketball games.
