Hamilton 64, Colerain 57

Junior guard Billy Allen led Hamilton with 19 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists and three blocked shots.

Senior guard Eric Graf led Hamilton's charge in the third quarter, going 4-of-6 on 3-pointers. He finished with 14 points.

Colerain was led by junior forward Dustin Liegibel's 12 points.

Hamilton 79, Upper Sandusky 70


Balanced scoring won out over a one-man scoring machine as Hamilton (5-3) held off defending Division II state champion Upper Sandusky (4-4).

Hamilton’s Justin Schulteis (18 points), Kelsey Brown (17), Eric Graf (13), Ryan Butler (nine points, 12 rebounds) and Billy Allen (seven points, 12 assists, nine rebounds) more than counteracted the 36-point, four-assist effort by Ohio State-bound Jon Diebler of Upper Sandusky.

Wolf's 3-pointer lifts St. Xavier

Nick Wolf made a 3-pointer from the top of the key with 2 seconds remaining to lead St. Xavier over visiting Hamilton 64-63 Tuesday.

St. Xavier, ranked No. 5 in The Enquirer Division I area coaches' poll, managed to take the lead early in the fourth quarter, scoring off three consecutive turnovers.

Walt Gibler scored 16 points, and Brad Scherer added eight points and six assists to lead the Bombers.

Billy Allen had 20 points, including five 3-pointers, and seven assists for the Big Blue. Eric Graf also scored 20 points for Hamilton.

Third-ranked Vikings fend off Big Blue 55-53

ENQUIRER STAFF REPORTS

Princeton, ranked No. 3 in the the Enquirer Division I area coaches' poll, had a strong start and then held off Hamilton for a 55-53 victory in boys' basketball Tuesday night.

Matt Weber hit a baseline jumper with 22.8 seconds left and Ezra Bradshaw sank a free throw with seven seconds remaining to seal the game for the Vikings (13-3, 8-2 Greater Miami Conference), who jumped out to a 14-2 lead in the first quarter.

Hamilton (6-9, 4-7) trailed by 11 points at the half but climbed back into the game in the third quarter behind six points from Billy Allen. But the Big Blue had a late turnover that led to Bradshaw's final trip to the foul line.
