  • Hawaii is tearing up Northwestern's pass defense. Northwestern started out strong, jumping out to 13-0 and 20-7 leads, but Hawaii's OL adjusted their pass blocking and Timmy change tore up the Wildcats for 250+ passing yards and 3 TDs in the first half for a 28-20 halftime lead. And then Chad Owens returned a punt for a 35-20 lead early in the third. Northwestern was running very well early, but once Hawaii adjusted, Nothwestern went to the pass and was ineffective (they haven't tried to many misdirection shit like they did against us).

Hawaii wins 49-41, despite Northwestern having more yards of total offense (535 yards). I should've recorded the game and sent it to the OSU staff to show them how to exploit Northwestern's pass defense. Timmy Chang went 31-56-2, 405 yards, 4 TD, despite being dinged up. WR Chad Owens tore them up with something like 10 catches for 4 TDs.

Mili Thanks for the heads up on this game. Was the game on ESPN? If it was then I didn't see anything on it. I wonder if Ohio State will ever be
on thier schedule. That would be great if they ever went out to Hawaii and for sure you would be there. That would be one of your best moments in your life to hang out with the Bucks. Lets hope it comes to fruition someday. I think June Jones is an okay coach.

I hope TOSU going to Hawaii NEVER happens! Let Mili get his ass back to the mainland if he wants to see the Bucks. There are way too many distractions in taking a trip like this. Hell, we've lost too many Rose Bowls that we should have won and that was just Pasadena. Hawaii, in any sport, has the ultimate home field advantage. I'll never forget the Ralph Sampson lead Virginia Cavaliers losing to Chaminade when Virginia was ranked #1 in the country, easily the biggest upset in the history of college sports.

    Hawaii is a "no-no."

Dubs is right, unfortunately. Hawaii totally sucks on the road, but is a decent and somewhat dangerous team at home. We would gain nothing form a home/away with them. No way would we want to do the 10,000-mile round trip during the regular season, and Tressel would never go for playing a regular season game after The Game (although Michigan did play Hawaii the week after we beat them in 1998). Besides, a win against them even at Aloha Stadium is nothing yet a loss would kill our season.
