  • I'm hoping that some day we play Hawaii in a home/away series so I get the chance to see the Buckeyes here in paradise. I did some research on Hawaii's all-time record against current Big Ten teams and came up with this:

    Illinois: 1-0
    Indiana: 0-0
    Iowa: 1-3
    Michigan: 0-2
    Michigan State: 0-1(*3)
    Minnesota: 1-0
    Northwestern: 0-1
    Ohio State: 0-0
    Purdue: 0-0
    Penn State: 0-0
    Wisconsin: 1-3

Total: 4-10(*12) (*they also had two losses to MSU before the Spartans came into the conference)

Their four wins were 27-17 against Illinois in the 1992 Holiday Bowl, 27-24 against Iowa in 1988 (at Hawaii), 17-3 against Minnesota (at Hawaii), and 20-17 against Wisconsin in 1986 (at Hawaii). However, they've never won at a Big Ten team's place.

They've played at a current Big Ten team's venue only five times.

    2 at Iowa
2 at MSU (but both were before MSU entered the Big Ten)
    1 at Wisconsin

Since the two games at MSU were before the Spartans joined the conference, Hawaii has played on a Big Ten field all of three times:

    Iowa (L 34-0) 1956
    Iowa (L 53-10) 1991
    Wisconsin (L 28-7) 1987

I can see why they would avoid going to a Big Ten team's field, seeing as they've lost all their games by an average of 38-6.

I'd like to see it, but I highly doubt the Bucks would give them a Home and Home series if they ever agreed on a match-up.

And even if they did, they'd eventually move it to the 'Shoe because the revenue would be much more at Ohio Stadium.

If they moved the away game (at Hawaii) to The Shoe, then we would have a true "Home and Home series" (both at The Shoe).
