HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

I agree. A couple of years ago I figured the job would go to Herman (regardless of where he was coaching) or Day. Didn't think it would happen this soon which is why I believe there wasn't a big "Nationwide Search". Had Day screwed the pooch last year, I believe it could've happened.

They got it right....

And I don't give a fuck if we lose every game this season as long as we win Thanksgiving weekend. :oh:

I see your point, but I think his win record will a damn sight better than that. II predict 12-0, B1G Championship, and, well, wait and watch. :day::oh:

I'd say 11-1 or 12-0 ... schedule is light this year. Good timing for a first year coach. I guess Patterson being a coward worked out for us.
At Corn, Nerds, and inbred Hapsburgs
Hosting Dantonio, Peds, Wiscy, Freshwater Adultery U, and Juggalos
The West lineup is interesting... this conference' scheduling is special.

We have yet to see what the season holds for the Buckeyes. It looks like the D staff has been strengthened significantly, and the O staff is pretty much intact, with one coach being hired to replace Day. Recruiting has been off the charts in Day's first year. One reason is Day. After watching him at the B10 kickoff in Chicago, came away more impressed than before. He handled his 'speech' very well, but more importantly, he handled the questions from the audience. They were not planted, like those to Hillary, but off the wall. Especially impressive was his interview with the B10 'roundtable' group of DiNardo et al. Not only did he answer or deflect the truly hard questions, but he enveloped a sense of humor with them. The first question, and I paraphrase, "what has been the biggest challenge of your first B10 meeting...?", and he answered, "I'm still thinking about it, probably won't hit me until tonight", and at the end of the interview, they asked him the same question, and Day answered, "being here with you guys". It showed me he's a quick study, has a wit about him, and can play the game. There was genuine laughter from 'the guys'. Yeah, I still don't know what the season holds yet, but I do believe that tOSU has a good one. Go Bucks!

Most of the "great" coaches have a "rock star" aura around them. It's still really early, but Day is showing signs of it

I think the same thing they may come out hot this year to start the season but I think the team and staff are aware that everyone has has this one penciled on their schedule as an upset alert and being their super bowl. I’m more concerned about going to NW as a game that could be overlooked. I think Nebraska came they come out focused and take care of business in their first test of the season.

Neither of you are concerned about the game against our rivals...

...from Pennsylvania?

I'll see myself out, thank you.
