Welcome to your tri-weekly look at all things Ohio State recruiting. Let’s get started!

    Emory Jones Upgraded to 5-Star:

In case you missed it, recent Buckeye commit Emory Jones moved from a 4-Star to a 5-Star recruit when the Rivals 2018 rankings came out this week. He is ranked as the #6 overall player in the class of 2018, and the third ranked quarterback behind Trevor Lawrence and Matt Corral (USC).

    James Hudson goes Blue:

In my Monday column, you may remember that I had been hearing that James Hudson would be committing to Michigan State on Monday afternoon. Well that turned out to not be the case as the Ohio 4-Star recruit selected the Michigan Wolverines after attending their BBQ over the weekend.

Hudson did not have an Ohio State offer, nor did he ever spend any time on campus working out. With the commitment of Chase Young at the defensive end position, the Buckeyes have shut down their recruitment of that position due to a scholarship crunch that leaves them very little wiggle room in taking commitments.
