It seems that former Ohio State RB Maurice Clarett is incapable of making a mature, responsible decision. After being ruled eligible for the 2005 NFL draft, one would think that Clarett would get himself into exceptional shape and participate in a postseason all-star game.

There were early rumors that Clarett would play in the East-West Shrine game, but he evidently turned down the offer. Most recently, Clarett had been scheduled to participate in a college football all-star challenge, but newly hired agent Steve Feldman told organizers just a few days prior to the event that Clarett would not take part. Clarett continues to make decisions that reflect poorly on his character and maturity level. Failing to capitalize on these opportunities will only contribute to his draft-day freefall.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/feature/featureStory?page=nfldraft05

My bet is Clarett is taken with the last overall pick in the draft, thereby being "Mr. Irrelevent" and getting a parade in his honor. I really hope he goes undrafted, nothing would pain me more than to hear "With the 82nd pick in the 2005 NFL draft, the [insert team name] selects Maurice Clarett, running back, Ohio State University."

He probably couldn't play in the East/West Shrine Game since he didn't have his university-issue pads and helmet. :tongue2:

The Eagles will take a shot at him in the third or fourth round.
Mark my words.....He's an Eagle.

By the way, did anyone catch Dan Patrick giving some props to "THE Ohio State university" while doing the highlights of the Super bowl?
He actually didn't say anything but did over emphasize "THE" when showing Vrabels catch in the game and announcing where he was from. It was the only seemingly positive thing I've heard from that network concerning the Bucks in a long, long time.

Rich Eisen did it too.

they do that partly in jest.

interesting comment about the eagles. they do need a solid between-the-tackles type guy. and they already have the speed back in westbrook.

I'm actually now rooting for this to happen, in a mad scientist type way, so I can observe what happens when you mix T.O, freddie mitchell, MoC, and those fans.

in all seriousness, this is actually the best possible scenario for clarett. if he gets drafted by pretty much any other team, he'll probably toil in obscurity. with the eagles, there is a chance he could end up being a star.

It could've been Eisen that I heard. I thought it sounded like Patrick.

I think it was genuine.
Eisen = scUM grad. Trust me, it was not genuine. Also, Patrick is from Cincinnati, and went to UD. For a large part, people from the 'nati have major penis envy of THE Ohio State University.

Lloydsev,
What's with all that shit on your toolbar? Your computer must run slow as fuck. You'd need dual processors just for all the shit running in the background.
