Helmet Stickers / Buckeye Leaves (all merged)

"It does seem strange that the game stickers are black,"

WHY? They've been that way for as long as I can remember with the few exceptions "back in the day".

IF they were green everyone would think they were pakalolo leaves. A lot of people already do, but being green would only enforce that thinking.

me: "what color are the osu helmet stickers?"

current player: "hunter green but they look black unless you are a couple inches away"

looked it up on google, and 'hunter green' is very dark and dull in this swatch guide

DUDE that color swatch guide only proves my pt more. That (hunter green) in the guide is no where near the BLACK of the Leaves!

Edit: Just put that hunter green into my PS and the profile reads like this C=82 M=51 Y=69 K=51 NOT EVEN CLOSE!

Hayn- you are right with those CMYK values both leaves and stripe are black, though the leaves are definitely a green-shade black (3 units greener in fact in the industry standard scale for coloring plastics and such materials).
CMYK to RGB
RGB to L*a*b*
The stripe is very nearly a pure neutral black with no green, red nor blue hue.

I finally got photoshop installed again (reformatted), so I could test the color value of the sunlit leaves.

1) Your hawk image opens as a RGB image, not a CMYK image.

2) the sunlight reflection off of the helmet will wash out the surrounding colors.

- I took four samples with the eyedropper, the black stripe, a shaded leaf, a sunlit leaf, and the hunter green swatch I posted on the last page.

- rather than judge tiny little strings of color, I made large blocks of the four eyedrop color samples.

See the attachment, and it looks awfully hunter green to me. The stripes are not similar to the green leavs at all, unless the only frame of reference is the leaf in the shade, which is a bad example.

You know what? If all you crack pots that are "greenies" saw them in person you'd say they're BLACK! If not, then our stripe is GREEN, er uh "hunter green", too! We might as well be the friggin Christmas Trees then!

THEY'RE BLACK! JUST LIKE THE STRIPE! Stop firing up the crack pipes!

I know you pakalolo heads would love for them to be green so you can connect the buckeye leaves to your sensimilla addictions!
