Ari is predicting for him to go to USC as of 4 hours ago on The Athletic.
Follow Ari for well written articles and discussion about the team. Don't follow him for recruiting or breaking news for the team. He's guessing with the same menbership you and I have to re recruiting sites and the Twitter.

Having said that, it may still be USC. But not because it's Ari's word vs a Steve Wiltfong.

Ari knows squat. As UNB said above, he's simply guessing like we all here are. Still, I can't emphasize how much is says for him to have traveled 9,000 miles from a tropical paradise on less than two weeks notice to spend a couple days in the cold and snow. If you put a gun to my head and said I had to pick, I would not hesitate to say Ohio State. There's a reason why two others who are far more in-the-know on recruiting have picked the good guys...

I’ve always been in the “this could absolutely happen” camp. And I’d love to land the OL transfer from Rutgers if he’s still in play. It’s almost like one recruit when you combine the two.

Don't get me wrong, I would be pleased to see this go down and at this point, you definitely go for it. However, having a Mormon kid sign an LOI that is going on a 2 year vacation is about equivalent to if we got a verbal commitment from a class of 2021 commitment. I don't know the numbers on this, but it seems like every Mormon recruit that takes a 2 year mission ends up somewhere else after they get back (BYU). And even if he does stick with OSU, probably would not even realistically see him on the field until 2022 by the time he gets re-acclimated and college ready.

Now a grad transfer or two this year, a killer 2020 OL class, and development of our young OL talent on the roster now would alleviate that. And in reality, he doesn't count against our scholarship count until he would get back and enroll, so with a class of low numbers, why not? Ok, just talked myself into it. I want to see the Ryan Day dancing GIF in this thread tomorrow.
