Hilarious musings of JoePa...

Here is how Zemaitis explained the importance of trust in the Penn State defense: "Say if I'm dropping back in coverage and I see a guy is doing a curl. I know I can jump that curl. But, if I jump that curl, I'm going to leave my three-deep responsibilities, which can [lead to] a big play. But I feel that with what we do, I'm just going to worry about three-deep, and I can trust that [Paul Posluszny] or whoever is at linebacker is going to get the curl. So he's going to be there."
Well there is progress obviously...D1 football players finally understand a basic premise of zone defense:biggrin:

Rest assured, Minnesota and Iowa and Purdue fans are happy you think so, because your sorry ass teams are the one of the reasons these teams can go to good bowl games.

Yeah, the fact that PSU played Purdue, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Northwestern as close as we did, and the fact they beat MSU worse than we did speaks volumes on how bad they suck. :roll1:

Don't be too surprised if PSU shocks a lot of folks next year.

Uh, they had a losing record. For a storied program they sucked. I forgot that you get credit for losing closely. Is that the Jason Gesser rule where you get 1/2 a win if you play good for a half?

Evidently your keen doctor mind can't fathom the difference between a suck ass team and a decent team that has a losing record. A couple breaks here and there and they could've had a winning record. Fetch me a slurpee, beyatch...

A couple of breaks in 2002 and we wouldn't have had a NC. Does that mean we were a mediocre national champion? GOod teams make their own breaks. Bad teams don't. Most fans with a basic understanding of sports realize that. :roll1:
